Ancenstral Tome 1st Entry- Chapter 1

201 ACC( After Caesar's Conquest), in a glorious yet gloomy, storm covered castle. An average-looking, well-built young man with night blue eyes and light brown chocolate skin sat despondent, depressed and deeply saddened on the side of his king-sized comfortable bed. A son of a baron and third in line to inherit the title. His name, was Titus Maximus Draxel, the first of his name. A trueborn warrior with the purest blood of all descendants of the very ancient Draxel Clan.

His clan, from it's apparent inception, was built upon war and glory in battle. A truly fine tradition for the upliftment of his clan whether in terms of military, political and economic power. Throughout the ages, their power has constantly grown and shrunk in equal measure for over 300 years of the clan's existence. They've seen themselves as commoners and as kings and everything in between before stabilizing as a simple, mediocre barony for the past 200 years. Without a doubt, the only standout trait of this family in it's current age is it's extremely ancient and rich history. There are extremely few records scattered around the empire that reveal that the Draxels may have existed as a clan before man even became civilised. This ofcourse, can not be confirmed.

At this moment, the castle is in a very depressed state. The current(and now former) Head of Clan and Baron of Thunder Territory, Jamus Draxel has passed on from old age. Though not quite suited for ruling, in fact borderline terrible, he was deeply loved by all his subjects and most of all his family. The one who could be said to have loved him most however, is Titus. Titus's mother died 4 years after his birth due to an unknown illness, so he was left without a mother which was always a sore point for him in terms of family life. Her name was Lorraine Musa and was the daughter of a tribal chief under a kingdom that was conquered by the empire more than 2 decades ago. She was given to Jamus by her father after Jamus proved himself to the chieftain as a strong warrior and honourable man. The fierce man knew he would be killed once his tribe and country were defeated. He didn't want his dear daughter to suffer a horrible fate and for his bloodline to end, so he asked Jamus to take her as his before his death. Jamus agreed as he found her attractive and enjoyed her temperament.

Titus was left with only his father as a parent, as although he had a stepmother, she hated his guts. For a while Titus felt a gaping hole in his heart. His two older half-brothers, Jamus II and Mason, noticed this and took pity on their little brother, so they tried to shower him with as much love as they could, much to their mother's displeasure.

Titus continued in a daze as his beautiful brunette wife came in, who was saddened upon noticing his state and sought to comfort him any way she could. She too was quite saddened by the lord's death as she loved him like family and considered him a second father. She stood at the door after closing it, staring at her dear husband sadly. "Oh my love...", she whimpered. "Celia...I'm glad you're here", Titus responds. "How could i not be dear. I suppose you're not faring well?". "No". This saddens Celia even more. She knows very well that for her ever stoic husband to be in such a state, an unimaginable whirlwind of emotions must be occuring beneath the surface. This distresses her as she hurries towards him beside the bed and embraces him with as much love and care as she can express. This in turn, triggers a breakdown from Titus as he cries like never before.

The most similar reference being when he cried upon his mother's death. Jamus was undoubtedly his pillar of strength, and to a high degree, his spiritual foundation. He had been the center of Titus's world for a long time throughout his childhood. As an adult, only his wife and children were loved just as much if not more. He took this moment to ball everything out as he believed it would be his last chance before he had to be strong for his family and people during and after the funeral process.

His wife chose to remain silent and continued comforting him with care and understanding ...
