If this was the case, what should Suri do? She glanced at Maxieno one more time, closely scrutinizing the man from head to toe. What made her accept him? Were they truly that close?
Maxieno threw his body on the sofa and leaned back casually with his legs wide apart, waiting for Suri to break the silence. He had pushed his luck this far, and now he only needed to await her response. At very least the girl knew why he was acting like this. Surely, she should have started to feel the undeniable connection they shared together.
"I'm not going to force you to believe me. If you don't believe me yet, then listen to your body. Your body knows it better," Maxieno stated, breaking the silence between them.
"How is it?" He continued.
Suri, who was feeling conflicted and unsure, turned her back on Maxieno for a moment. "I'll think about it," she answered tersely before leaving the room.
