Better Days

There was a gentle breeze, which blew through the air. This dusk felt like no other. As the day was coming to a halt, so we're the crowds passing through the town. People slowly began to return to their homes. It was a small town, and no one went unnoticed. The night was calm, and there was the occasional breeze. The breeze as so gentle and calming that one might not notice it was there. Night crept along as the townsfolk slept. As dawn began to approach, people would begin to arrive, back from their peaceful sleep. People would begin to make routine trips throughout the town. They would stop by the baker and pick up a fresh loaf of bread for their meal. The sweet aroma floating throughout the air. The occasional trip to the blacksmith would casually change the days schedule, only to go back to normal the next day. Days seemed to float by, not much changed. The children would go to the endless green fields, and would enjoy the nature which surrounded them. The days began to get shorter, and they were getting colder. Changes where slowly becoming more apparent, and it appeared something was coming...
