Chapter 6

Cal

We got up to the cliff where you can see all of Bluehoover City. W were on the cliff-side as me and Feelia began to stretch. I looked over at Gen with a worried face.

"Hey, Gen. What's wrong?"

"I'm just wondering, won't the other human's see you two…you know…fighting???"

"It's alright! People think that it's fireworks." I said.

"And why would they suspect it to be fireworks?" He said.

"Because you'll be helping us by using what's behind you." I said, pointing to the packet of fireworks and matches and rave lights. "You turn that on while also lighting the fireworks."

He turned around, looking at the rockets and rave lights, "That?"

"Yep, all you have to do is plug them in and light the fireworks to see the sparks in the air. Got that?" I said,

"I think I do."

"Good, now what time is it? I don't have a watch with me."

"It is 11:45, by the moon's position." He said. He can tell time by just the moon?! I wish I could do that.

"Alright, you ready Cal?" Feelia said excitedly

"Yeah I am, are you?"

"You bet." We had 15 minutes to spar against each other and crowds were already waiting for the lightshow. Honestly, this is a bit overwhelming but it doesn't matter.

At least this will be fun.

"3," Feelia said first.

"2," I said after.

Then we both say it together, "1,"

We both jumped into the empty streets as the lights turned on. We clashed blades and were blown back by the sheer force that we created as the first firework exploded.

We both had smiles on our faces.

I landed softly on the side of the building and switched to my gauntlets to grab her tentaflu that had the intention to stab me and pulling her to me but she had a blade coming out of her back, ready to pierce me. I reacted quickly by switching to my sword and blocked her attack but in a quick amount of time a blade protruded from her tail and came to stab me in the arm so I reacted by pushing her off of me making her land on the streets below. I jumped off the side if the building and tried to stab her but she stepped away from my attack, letting me stab the street instead and protruded a blade from her right side but I saw that coming a mile away. I detached the sword to make it into two swords and blocked the blade coming from the back and pulled the other sword off of the street with ease and smacked her with it, sending her about a mile near the crowd. She slid through the ground as she smiled and appeared right in front of me. We then got into a power struggle, blocking and attacking each other, making sparks fly into the air and metal clanging as the fireworks were shot into the air, masking the noises we are creating. We pushed each other off, getting some space between us.

Feelia stood up and said, "Well…how are you holding up?"

I sighed and said, "Fantastic." I pulled out my guns and pointed at her. She was intrigued and smiled. I smiled as well waiting for when I heard the fireworks explode and when it did, I shot. She used her tentaflu to quickly slice the bullet, making a ringing sound from the blade she protruded from her tentalfu. She smiled as she walked slowly up. I did it as well, putting away my desert eagle and summoning my gauntlets. She suddenly disappeared into thin air. I looked everywhere for her but couldn't find her.

"She's using the darkness to her advantage." I thought.

I got ready for whatever until I felt her grabbing my arm and shoving it into a soft place. I looked to my right and saw her in the anthro-like form, having my arms between her chest. I freaked out as she was teasing me, only to headbutt me and revert back to her wolf form. "Gotcha!" She said, I managed to flip myself back on my feet and see her about to stab me from below.

My male instincts told me to jump into the air to avoid it and clearly, I jumped. "HEY!!! WHY ARE YOU TARGETING THAT AREA!!!" I shouted.

She only grinned as she jumped up to me and punch me with her tentaflu. "Cause why not?"

I looked back at her and punched her in the gut. She did not expect that because she spat out from the blow. She retaliated by switching to her anthro-like form and punched me to the ground.

11:49 pm

I braced for impact and hit the ground. I grunted as I heard a soft plap landing. "Are you alright?" She said worryingly. I got up from the ground, dazed but still up. I felt it around my nose, I sweeping it up and check what it was, seemed to be blood.

I smiled, "Thank you for worrying about me, but you know how durable I am."

She gave a sigh of relief as she got ready to fight in her anthro-like form. "Good! Now if you don't mind? I'd like to test this form out." She said, jumping from left to right.

"What do you even call that form anyway?"

"Well, you can just call it Feminine form."

"That's a lackluster name but straightforward." I said as I got ready as well.

11:50 pm

I dashed towards her this time and did a right punch. She ducked under it and was about to kick me from the ground but I blocked it by lifting my leg up until both my knee and elbow were connected. I pushed it away and tried to kick her from the ground but she lifted herself up off the ground and came down with a blade protruding from her calf. I stepped aside as she did a wheel spin, cutting the ground. I tried to roundhouse kick her but she put her hands on the ground and blocked it with her legs, but the force of my kick was great and made her lose balance and fall on her back. I summoned my scythe and tried to stab her but she rolled to the right and jumped off the ground, landing back on her feet and using her tentaflu to grab me and my scythe. "Are you ready to see the moon!!!" She said,

"I don't know, ARE YOU?" I retorted back as I pulled her, along with my scythe. She tried to stop herself from not going any further as well as using her free tentaflu to try to stab me. I switched to my sword, making the scythe disappear and detaching them to block her barrage of attacks she is making. After a while, I grouped them all together and said, "Sorry about this!" and sliced them off of her. She grunted loudly from that.

I connected my swords back together and dashed towards her to smack her with my sword. She blocks it as her tentaflu grew back so I used all my force to push her and…

11:53 pm

She disarmed me by punching me in the gut and was kicked up onto the roof tops. The fireworks were still going and the spotlights were overlapping me as I saw the Feelia on the edge with a red light passing by her as well as a yellow one. "I didn't hit you too hard, right?"

I smiled as I got up and said, "I'm not a regular human, Feelia. Could you stop worrying about me and focus on the battle instead?" I wrapped a chain around her leg and pulled it to make her lose balance but she stab the roof with her tentaflu to keep herself from falling. I ran up to her and gave a strong hook to her face. She looked at me smiling saying, "You're right, you aren't a regular human. You are more special than the rest of them." She complimented me as she went to her wolf form, bit me in the leg and threw me off of the roof. I tried to focus on the ground to land safely but Feelia used her tentaflu to do a barrage of attacks on me so I was more forced to defend myself from them. In the confusion, I was grabbed by the wrist and was flung far from the crowd.

11:55 pm

I landed and pulled out my guns and shot at Feelia who was chasing after me. Though she blocked all the bullets. She got up to me and went into her Feminine form to punch me in the face. I took the hit but I kick her away from me by using the motion she gave me. She rolled on the ground and sat down. We rested for a bit, catching our breaths as Feelia was standing back up.

"Right in the stomach." She said.

"Same with that punch. Man was it fierce!" I said, blood coming out of my mouth.

We both sat down as we enjoyed the night sky. Panting from the battle. "I love this. You know that." Feelia said. "Just everything about this."

"I know you do. That's why we're doing it again."

"…Cal? Will we always be together? Even through death?" She said,

I was confused why she was asking me this. The answer is obvious. "Yeah. We will…but never say that again…because we will never die."

She gave a smile and a chuckle as we stood back up. I summoned my gauntlets and protruded blades

from my forearm as she protruded the blade from her forearms, dashing towards each other and locking blades and started to clash baldes and fists. I grabbed her hand and kicked her to the point where we could hear the crowd. She stopped herself and ran at me as tentaflu appeared and unleashed a unholy barrage of swipes, slashes, and skewers. I ran through her attacks, dodging every single one and getting some minor cuts on my body as I equipped my deagles and shot as fireworks and spotlights went crazy. Exploding every second as the lights went past us in green, red, purple and yellow. I jumped to avoid a sweep from my legs but got hit in the stomach, being brought into the air. I shot at it to sever it as I swung onto it and slid down, shooting at Feelia. To which she cut the bullets in half and yelled to me as a firework exploded, "COME AT ME!!!"

I punched her in the stomach and sent her flying towards the crowd but I didn't notice it at the time and went to slam her down until she shouted at me, "Cal!!! WAIT, WAIT, STOP!!!"

"What?" I said until I saw the crowd beneath us. I panicked as Feelia extended her tentaflu to grab onto the rails of the buildings, acting like a trampoline as I landed on her and bounced into an under-maintenance house and made a hole through the ceiling.

12:00am

We were both laid down on our backs looking up above seeing the stars and hearing the crowd cheer as fireworks went into the air with a whistle and exploded. We were both silent until I started to laugh and soon after, Feelia laughed with me.

We both laughed together.

"Oh my god! That was fantastic!" Feelia said.

"Haha, in what way?" I asked.

"Like…everything! The lights passing by us. You shooting your shots when the firework exploded! It was perfect timing…it was perfect." She said,

"Well then what about when you used your body to fluster me? Mid Battle!"

"Just thought it would give me an advantage and it did!" She said,

We both looked up to the sky, giving some silence and noticed that the commotion was over. Feelia then placed her hand to her chest and clinged onto it like something was there.

"Feelia? What even happened to my finger?"

"Well, I fused it into my body. It's going to stay in me forever, finally giving me the ability to…well, turn into this." She pointed out the body she had. She didn't have clothing on and was only being covered by fur. I have to change that sooner or later. She turned towards me with her amber-looking eyes. Glowing under the moonlight.

"Hey, Feelia."

"Hm? What is it?"

"Do you think that anyone can understand love?" I said.

"Well…most people say it's hard to describe it but…I would say anyone can understand it if given enough time so…yes." She said, smiling.

I looked back up until she said, "Why are you asking that? Do you love me or something?"

I raised my eyebrow and said, "What makes you say that?"

Her ear's folded as she said, "Well, you're asking if you understand love and thought that you had a love interest or something."

I smiled and said front and forward, "You love me don't you?"

She widened her eyes as her ears pointed straight up and had her tail wagging as she springed up and backed to a wall saying, "NO!!!"

"Your body is telling you otherwise." I said.

"Stop it, you stupid tail!" She said, Grabbing it as I got up and walked towards her, "But no! Why would you think of—" I went in for the kiss to the lips, cutting off her excuses. When I backed up from Feelia, she was frozen in place as her tail was wagging faster than it was before.

"Hey? Are you okay, Feelia?" she grabs my face suddenly and kisses me harder than I did.

At that moment, everything seemed to slow down, all voices that were speaking were muffled and my vision was blurred to only see Feelia. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment while it lasted. I moved my hand to her cheek and separated to see her.

"Are you sure this is right?"

"What do you mean?" I said.

"Like, a demon that looks like a wolf, falling in love with a human? Some would think that's not right and would call you out for it."

I paused to think, "Well…love can be mysterious and absurd at some points."

As soon as we were about to kiss again. Gen abruptly came into the room, searching for us.

"Hey, are you two okay? I did everything you asked of me to do and wanted to know where you guys..." Gen stood there in silence as we were hugging each other. Feelia started to freak out and was blushing so hard that we could see it.

"GEN!!!!" She shouted at him.

"Look! How was I supposed to know you two were having a moment of love with each other!"

"YOU SHOULD'VE KNOCKED THEN!!!"

"Feelia, he was worried. Give him a break." I said.

"Well he should've knocked." She said,

"Sorry." He said sarcastically. Feelia, out of rage, lifted him up off the floor and was about to do something until I pressed on her arm, making her let go of Gen.

"Come on, stop with this nonsense. Besides, let's look at the bright side! At least Gen knows about this and we don't have to work hard to hide this love."

"We weren't going to hide it from Gen." She said,

I answered very quickly, "You were going to hide it from your friend because it would embarrass you telling the whole story."

She angrily grumbled.

"Wait, you were going to hide this from me?" Gen said.

"Well not anymore," I said.

"ANYWAYS!!! Gen, how's everything going outside?" Feelia asked.

"Well everyone didn't notice and it was actually really pretty and fun to do that." Gen said.

"Are they still outside?" I asked.

"Most of them are but there's a lot of metal box's moving around on the street.

"Alright. Feelia? Do you still have enough energy in you?" I asked. She nodded. "Alright, let's get on top of a building.
