Chapter Seven:The One Who stayed,Nadia.

Present day,7:45 am.

Sun city, Country Z.

"I'm waiting for you,my love.Find me!"

Her eyes snapped open,as she sat up while holding her heaving heart only to check the time to see how early she had woken up.

Again! it happened again,the voices and the red eyes that always haunted her dreams, had made it into a daily reoccurrence that had her questioning if she had not gone mad.

Well,that's what people think of her though, she was nothing but a crazy girl who was self obsessed about seeing things that were out of this world.

Lily had always felt a huge indifference about her existence in this world.It was as if her whole existence here didn't seem to reckon with the way of life here.

Firstly was the part where she sees things that were quite abnormal for a normal human being.

That had been the starting point of her messed up life,like who would actually believe a seven year old who had seen death knocking upon their house,only to end up losing her brother the next day.

Of course no one! Her parents had not been able to get over the fact of losing their favorite child,and had in turn locked her up in a mental institution with the excuse that she was sick in the head.

The memories alone weren't satisfying,coupled with the  lonely life that had been that way since highschool,and now she had grown into an adult.

It was nothing but a repeated cycle, reminding her that she was nothing but an outsider to this world, and maybe it was time to accept that she was different in her own ways, and as well stop denying who she is.

But it's not that easy,the moment she had done that,and clocked fifteen she started seeing him too,the red eyes with the blurry face that always ends up with her questioning why exactly she can't see his face.

He haunts her dream, calling her precious  and sweet names that only a man who was in love with any woman would be entitled to do that.

But there's no way the likes of her can attract the opposite sex,she's the total definition of boring so there's absolutely no way, she might had seduced an Incubus to lay claim on her.

That's it,an Incubus who had taken a liking to the strange girl living all alone , abandoned and isolated from the rest  of the human folks all because she's crazy.

The more she tried to understand what it was,and why she always hears his voice in her dream gave her migraines so she stopped putting much thought to it,with the hope that he would give up once she doesn't show much concern about who he was or what he is.

If there was anything Lily was obsessed about,it had to do with the fact that she knows that there's a world out there aside from earth that has mystical creatures.

Somehow,she knew that the man with the red eyes belonged to that world,and her suspicion was confirmed, with her ability to see things that normal human beings couldn't see.

She can see energies,all sorts of energy just like the dark aura that had surrounded her younger brother, had made her confirm her suspicion.

Losing her brother broke something in her,he was literally the only person who had believed in her craziness just like others call it.

So watching his life force taken away from him,and being unable to do anything made her heart bleed.it was one of the hardest parts in her life,that she didn't want to talk about.

After Ben died,her heart started losing its pieces and she couldn't keep it together,as a result of their parents accusing her that she had performed her spiritual voodoo on him.

She was different,that she knew and was hated for not being normal by her mother,and that hurt a lot,as if subconsciously an unbreakable wall was built inside around her,without her knowledge when she had maned up to her parents.

She accepted that cause,not to keep her safe but to push her way from the criticisms that came  with the people she called family.Lily tried to be happy, but it wasn't possible because the piece's weren't connecting.

She doesn't know what she is,and why she's different but she was human,so maybe that she's going crazy thinking that she's a super woman or anything special, because come rain come sunshine,she still lives as Lily Hayes,just like Nadia says.

"Open up girl"the yell from outside stopped her from writing in her diary, and she hurtled her lazy ass out of the  bed into the mini apartment she had,to open the door to see Nadia,the only one that stayed when others left.

Her best friend.

"Yo,why are you still in your pj's Lily,you know what today is' 'She said, pecking her cheeks before sauntering her way into her living room.

"What do you m…''Lily wanted to ask what today was all about, because everyday was a special day for Nadia,the extrovert.

Well,that was until something clicked,and her eyes nearly fell out of its sockets when she realized what today is all about.

"Geez! Girl i forgot,I'm so sorry"She say moving in to her room,she checked the time to see that she barely had twenty minutes to keep up.

There's an outside workshop in the company,where every employee is expected to be present. Everyone had left for the mountain yesterday, but she was granted the excuse of coming today because she was a little bit sick.

Her boss, Malcolm won't take it lightly if she doesn't show up today,and punctuality was something he didn't joke with,but here she was,with no clothes parked for the camp.

"Geez lily,what have you been doing?''Nadia asked,when she came to see her hurrying her ass out,by taking in whatever she could remember for the workshop.

"I slept off Nadia,that's what i was doing so can you help me?"She asked kindly, throwing in some important documents that would be needed,and a heavy sigh escaped her lips when she realized she was the one incharge of  sharing the maps too.

The workshop was generally based on the research that was to be carried out on mountain Luther,yeah it was named after a man.

Stories have it that anyone who steps into the great ice cave doesn't get out alive, but that was not where the company was interested in, so she was safe about the whole mythical stories about the great ice cave. 

She came out with her towel around her after bathing,only to see that Nadia had sorted everything out for her,so she hurriedly dressed up before going for her phone, until Nadia's question made her turn to her.

"You still see and hear those voices?''She asked, raising her diary up as she rushed and took it from his hands.

"Oh! Stop it Dee,that's invading of my privacy"

"Girl chill,it's not as if you had anything to hide,you have no boyfriend so a diary is boring with no talks about any love  story"Nadia said, scrolling through her phone.

"I'm not…"

"Yeah, interested in any boys on planet earth"She completed her words,and that made Lily sigh deeply.Why does she know her too well.

"You know I'm starting to  think that this mysterious red eyes in your dream, is your alter ego making out your dream man just to please you"

"Whatever,can we go now.We are already late and I'm sure Mr.Malcolm is screaming my name like some pregnant whale "She said, taking her luggages while Nadia laughed at her joke's.

"You don't even know if a whale screams,but he's surely a pregnant whale with all those alcohol going straight to his stomach"Nadia followed  her to the front door,before taking her luggage.

"You still like him though.."Lily reminded her, she had this fetish about older men and God have mercy on her soul,for crushing on a married man.

"What? It's not like it's a huge crime,it's just a crush girl."She explained.

"I do hope it stays that way, he's married Nadia"She adviced.

"Ofcourse saint Mary"Nadia teased,before the two  burst into laughter.

"Stop that"

"You need to grow a little Lily,be wild once in a while you will love it,but anyway i love you regardless"She bumped into her arm playfully,before they came out of the house with Lily glad to have someone like her.

She's not alone afterall.She had Nadia,her only family.

Now,this is the daily life of Lily Hayes.
