Chapter 1 Need no sloth

"Mom, how long do I have to wait for your future son-in-law to drive to the airport and pick up his wife "

"Exercise some patience my angel ,he'll get there soon ,probably being delayed by traffic jam".Mrs Cooper replied her daughter Jennie who just came back from India after 12 years .

Beep beep...

Jennie hangs up on her mom ."Well I need no sloth to pick me up ,I know my way home ".she said with a smirk on her face as she drags her luggage out of the airport.

Jennie's the only child of Mr and Mrs Cooper. She travelled to country F 12 years ago to study , and is back to her country because her parents found a suitor for her . Marriage was the last thing on her list since she's not achieved some goals she wanted , but she didn't want to make her parents sad ,since she's been postponing it for a long time .

Few minutes later...

" Omg! you look dashing my princess , how's your journey ?" Mrs Cooper said taking some glances at the door

"Mom , it's fine I must say Dad's taking good care of you ,cause you're looking younger than me" Jennie said with a smile ."Stop flattering me Jennie,where's David?"

"I don't know, I've not seen him since I came back " Jennie shrugged ."What do you mean by that ? isn't he the one that brought you home ?" . "Come on Mom am not a kid ,I came home by myself . He can come back whenever he wishes to "Jennie replied taking a bite of an Apple . "Jennie have you gone mad?! you should have called to tell him you were coming home by yourself, the poor boy must be stranded in the airport , pick up your phone and call him now!!"

"tsk! sorry to disappoint you mom but am not gonna do that , I need to rest the day's been very hectic for me , Mary take my back upstairs "Jennie said and starts ascending the staircase .

"Oh my goodness, this girl's changed . I need to tell David to come home since she isn't at the airport again . Why does she keep stressing everybody? by Tyler,place a call to David and tell him Jennie is back home " Mrs Cooper said while massaging her forehead.

David frowned his face after receiving the call from Tyler . He got to the airport some minutes ago and have been frantically searching for Jennie only to receive a call that's she's home already. David's the first son of Mr and Mrs Joel. HE is a successful business man and the richest in the country , he's the dreams man of every girl , so, to him Jennie 's attitude was a slap to his face .Nevertheless he still loved Jennie and would turn the world upside down if that's what it takes to maker her HIS.

Mrs Cooper was having some refreshments when she sighted David parking his car at the garage. "Mary, call Jennie" , she instructed .

Mary's the personal servant of Jennie. she's been her servant since childhood and being the same age mates ,they interacted as friends .(when no one's watching ).Mrs Cooper strictly forbade any form of personal relationship with the servants of the house hold and her family .

"Miss, Madam wants to meet you at the balcony "

"Marty drop that servant attitude , no one's here "Jennie replied rolling her eyes .

"why does she want to see me"

" I think it's because the future boss is here "

" David's the boss? joke of the year , go and tell my mom I'll be there shortly . I need to dry myself ,this pool is quite refreshing"Jennie replied submerging herself in the water .

David and Mrs Cooper were having a hearty discussion when Mrs Cooper saw Mary coming from the swimming pool direction.

"Where's Jennie?, don't tell me she's swimming while I called for her to come and meet my future son in law"

Mrs Cooper said with a frown .

"Mom , don't worry I'll go and meet her myself " David said and starts walking to the pool direction. He was hypnotized at the sight before him .Jennie was wiping her silky curly brown hair, slowly like she was making an ad for a hair company . Her body shape was the kind any girl would dream of .Her straight legs,blue eyes,heart shaped lips,would set a man on fire .

"uh, David stop drooling you look disgusting when you do that "

"So sorry Jennie,I just couldn't get my eyes off you "

"Whatever ,why are you here ? I told Mary I'll be there shortly ,why bother coming here?"

"I decided to save you the stress of coming there ,we can talk here . How's your journey? I came to the airport and searched for you before I got a call from Tyler that you're home already. Come on Jennie,you should have informed me you'll be coming home by yourself the-"

"So you won't have stressed yourself right ? sorry for bothering you .It's not a big deal ,I'll get you an energy drink to refill the energy WASTED on searching for me. Next time don't Come to pick me up even if my mom or dad insists "

"uhm, Jennie I didn't mean it that way .I meant if you'd informed me ,then I would have gotten a lot of gifts and prepare lots of things Herr for you while I await for your arrival "

"David ,these things aren't needed .You should have known am not a person that can be enticed by gifts "

"Not entice ,anyway how's your journey,and your stay in country F? hope you made a lot of friends and pics and videos. Let's go to the shades so you can share them with me "

"ugh! I made none David, now get out of my way I need to go and change "

"Jennie, I don't know why you're giving me the cold attitude. We'll be getting married soon ,we need to start knowing ourselves and building our love wou-"

"Fuck love David ! I don't need your love and the sooner you realise that and walk out of my life the better for you ." Jennie said and walked away .

"No matter how hard you act , I'll get you Jennie and you'll be by my side while we rule our kingdom" David thought with a smirk .

Mrs Cooper walks into the pool and sees David .

"Hows it David ,any improvement?"

"Nope "

"ugh that girl !"

"Patience ,Mom she'll come around. I've not seen Dad "

"He went for a business trip in another country "

" Alright , I'll get going "

"Bye,no worries I'll talk to her ".Mrs Cooper sighed and walked into the house .
