After lunch, I couldn't help but notice how Riley's eyes kept wandering around, taking in the grandeur of Ciara's castle.
Though I'd been here countless times, for Riley, it was her first. The idea of showing her around, of giving her a glimpse into my childhood memories, tugged at me, so I stood up and stretched, catching her attention.
"Come on," I said with a grin. "I'm giving you the grand tour."
Riley blinked, a curious smile forming on her lips. "Really? I've always wondered what this place is like on the inside."
"Well, you're about to find out."
Ciara, who had been lounging with Aeliana, shot me a playful look. "Don't get lost," she teased, though I could see the appreciation in her eyes.
She knew as well as I did that showing someone the castle was more than just a tour it was a way of inviting them into our world.
