Helping Ciara
After we finished breakfast, Leora wiped her hands on a cloth, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She leaned in, lowering her voice as if sharing a grand secret.
"Now, dears, listen up," she began, a mischievous glint in her purple eyes. "Ciara's wedding is in three days, and though she's too proud to admit it, she's going to need help. Especially with the last-minute details."
Riley and I exchanged a glance. Helping Ciara? The same Ciara who refused to ask for help even if her life depended on it? This was going to be a challenge.
"She won't like it," I said, already anticipating my sister's stubbornness. "She'll throw a fit."
Leora waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, don't worry about that. I'll handle her tantrums. You two just need to get ready to help, whether she wants it or not."
I sighed. "Fine. But I'm not getting hit by a flying vase again."
Riley chuckled. "Flying vase?"
"Long story," I muttered, shaking my head.
