Funny lunch
The kitchen buzzed with the frantic energy of a full-scale operation as the preparations for lunch began. Pots clanged, knives chopped rhythmically against the wooden cutting boards, and the smell of rich spices filled the air.
Ciara was still trying to micromanage everything, despite Aeliana's presence, though she'd become slightly less tense. Just slightly.
"Ciara, you're going to drive yourself mad if you keep hovering like that!" I called out, leaning against the doorframe as I watched her flit from one dish to the next.
"Someone has to make sure things are perfect, Seraphine!" Ciara shot back, red eyes blazing with determination.
Her horns seemed to glint ominously in the bright kitchen light, making her look more like a demon lord preparing for battle than a bride.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, because a slightly overcooked vegetable is going to ruin the wedding."
