Chapter 22: The Inner Self

Beatrice POV

I opened my eyes and found myself standing on the dark water, my dress is white as my bare feet touched the bottom of part of the dark water.

'What is this?' I thought, and look around the surroundings, but I noticed that, the sky is red, the clouds is gray, while the supposedly building is now in ruins.

I was shock of what I was seeing. 'What is happening?!' I mentally screamed in panic.

The dark water started to rise up and formed itself as a human, a perfect image of my parents. "Your a monster!" My 'mother' yelled.

'No... no! Your wrong!' My eyes widened.

"You aren't the daughter we raised!" This time, my 'father' screamed.

'WHY CAN'T I SPEAK?!' I exclaimed in my head, as another one rise up and formed the image of my grandfather, the boss of the mafia.

"You are a good for nothing, you don't deserve to be called as my granddaughter." He sneered, I covered my ears. 'Stop...'

Another one rise again, this time it's Eric. "I was wrong from the start, I didn't admire you, I despised you." He scoffed, as my tears started to fall. I noticed that my dress is starting to become dark.

'please... make it stop.' I begged.

I could feel the water rise up again, as I already guessed the possibility of who it might be. "Look at you, you look like an ugly witch. Don't even bother of confessing your feelings to me, because I already know and my answer is no, I would never date someone who is a murderer!" The copy of Crisanto yelled as the murderer part keeps ringing in my head.

"I SAID SHUT UP!" I screamed while shutting my eyes and covering my ears.

"DIE!" Something run towards me and slash my neck open, I got choked in my own blood as I fall face first in the water.

I could feel myself falling deeper and deeper. 'Monster!'

'You aren't the daughter we raised!'

'I despised you.'

'Murder!'

That's what in my head keeps repeating. 'It hurts... it hurts a lot... why... where did I go wrong? Is it the way I am...' I thought, but then I could feel someone grabbed my arm and drag me to shore.

I only layed flat on the land, but then I realized something and immediately sat up as I touched my neck, not feeling the pain, I looked at my reflection and my skin didn't have any scars at all.

'How?' I thought, I look around and what I saw was not like at the dark place of which I was supposed to be, but I was in the middle of the see, on the lonely Island that I landed.

The island was greeny and forestry, unlike the other island which was only sand. so I followed the road that I found in the narrow part.

A child's giggle could be heard around the greeny forest island. 'Better stay alert.' I thought as I continue walking.

"Come! Come!" A child's voice exclaimed, when I reached the end, I saw my younger self playing tea parties.

"Ah! Your here! Your finally here!"

'I looked like some kind of those mother who's child is still in her belly.' I thought

Third POV

Beatrice sat at the empty part of the seat and faced the younger version of her. "So?" She asked, while the other her smiled creepily.

"I suppose, you already know who gives you that kind of nightmare right?" Beatrice shook her head as she doesn't know it.

"Oh- well, we have to get that sorting out then!" The other exclaimed.

"The room or the dream or the nightmare you had encountered and been participated into is a ruin, it was ruined for those people who you had trust, it only takes away or been demolished when you are starting to feel no emotions." The copy of young Beatrice explained.

"Each building symbolizes your, trust, emotions, mentality, and physically. While those projectiles that is looked like those friends of yours, it was either your regret and trust. It is up to you of which sides you choose.

Is it black? Or the White... I can't force you in which sides, as I am only here to guide you." The other Beatrice said, as she stood up and opened a portal, a white portal and the black portal.

"Each sides will decide of your destiny or fate, choose wisely, as you will never ever be able to come back here."

Beatrice, look intensely in the portals, as she then walked towards the center of the white and black.

Beatrice looked at her young self. "I don't want to say it the wrong way so, I say, I'm going to the between of black and white. As I want to make my own destiny." She said to her young self making the young girl smiled.

"Then! It's settled! The view between the white portal and the black portal started to fade as a door appeared.

"Starting now, I will only say that you are not alone in this fight Beatrice, their are people who you can trust, as you will also discover your own abilities in the meantime, and please, the darkness is part of you..." The younger her faded, as she opened the door, making the light behind it blinded her as she shielded her eyes.

When Beatrice brought it down, she firstly saw her mafia room's ceiling. "A dream?" Beatrice asked herself as she then the shook my head.

'That's impossible, if that was a dream, why it is felt so, so real?' Beatrice thought, as her young self's words repeat in her head.

"There are people who you can trust, and the darkness is part of you..."

Beatrice thought of who is the people she can trust...

And what does the younger her meant about 'the darkness is part of you.' She thought, as Beatrice head started to pound again, she groaned in pain, as she hesitantly got out of bed and grabbed her medical kit.

"This... better be worth it..."
