Chapter 19: Friendship has an end

Third POV

Beatrice stopped midway in her sentence as a sound of crash and glass breaking was heard outside of the room that Beatrice and Eric were in.

Eric's expression hardened as he gritted his teeth, he turned around and look at Beatrice sternly making her eyes widened as she saw her father's face in Eric. "Stay here." He stated.

Beatrice gripped her blanket as he walked out of the room and locked it from the outside.

Beatrice's POV

'I see, so no one really is a trustworthy person at all. Even my own parents doubt me.' I thought, as I heard a loud banging sound.

'Ahh~ They had get pass of Eric. That's too bad.' I giggled, the door bursted open and there came in some boys around Eric's age. "Morons, the lock is outside, why must you break the door." I insulted them with a deadpan look.

"Oh~ Would you look at that, Eric had a girl inside his room. She's pretty, Eric, you've got yourself a jackpot." One said, as he lifted up my chin.

"Let her go!" A beaten up Eric was laying at the ground trying to stand up. 'Pathetic, and you call yourself a boy.' I thought, a mischievous glint appeared in my eyes.

'Let's have some fun.' I mentally said as I smirked as it went unnoticeable. "What's your name girly?" I stared at the guy. 'Seriously? That kind of flirting is so random...'

I internally sighed. "The name's Beatrice! Nice to meet you~" I pushed him away from me, and got off the bed. "But your not my type, so please kindly respect my personal space." The other boys snickered.

"Don't laugh!" The boy that I pushed exclaimed, and glared at me. "You'll pay for that you bitch!"

I started to laugh. 'Heh~ It's now or never, there's no turning back.' They started to back away as they could feel the tension in the room.

Third POV

"Neh~ Do you know who is in front of you boys?~" Beatrice asked, the boys glared. "Your just Eric's girl! You are no near of our league to talk like that to us!" One of them exclaimed as all of them agreed.

"Beatrice... run... you are no match for them." Eric stated in a low tone, Beatrice glanced at him in sorrow and regret, but it all immediately covered by a fake facade.

"Eheh~ So I was right, boys really underestimating the girls. But let me introduce my self well, so you will know who you are confronting to." Beatrice smirked. "My name is Beatrice Finley, the Mafia's Deadly Butterfly." The boys started laughing.

'Just as I thought.' Beatrice mentally said, the boys didn't believe a thing of what she said. 'It doesn't matter, they are no use anyway.'

Beatrice grabbed a pocket knife that she hid inside of her chest clothing, as she elegantly killed the boys one by one without letting them making a sound.

Eric watched the scene happening in front of in with wide eyes, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, a killer was with him all along. A killer that he admired, but even though, he was in a state of mixed emotions.

He was feeling happy and at the same time, angry. Eric was happy because he finally found the person he had admired for a long time, but he was angry because all this time, the person he admired is Beatrice, who keep him from finding out the truth.

He thought they were friends, but he hoped Beatrice trusted him more than that, he hoped that Beatrice trusted him more than a friend.

The last sound of thud snap Eric out from his thought, as Beatrice stared at him with blood and emotionless eyes on her face.

"I know you don't like me anymore Eric, and I want all of it to keep it that way. I will cut the ties between you and me as a friend, we are not for each other. I don't want you to get involved into my own world. And I will also do the same to Crisanto. Goodbye Eric." Beatrice finished as she jumped outside from the window.

"WAIT-" Eric tried to stop Beatrice but she was already gone.

Beatrice POV

It had to be done, that was all I could think of, as I walked down the road.

When I escaped Eric's place, I still haven't recovered fully from my fever, so I have no choice but to go back from the Mafia base, I have to settle this problem.

I need to end this pointless fight, whatever my mom had gotten involved. Even if it means to cut all of my ties to the people that I had gotten close to.

'Crisanto, Eric, I'm sorry, you two have been the great friends that I could ever wish for, but I still think of the people today as foolish creatures, even though I killed those people that had been caught in crossfire but there's still no guarantee that those people are innocent.' I thought as I stopped at the dead end.

'One of the Mafia's secret passageways, I found this out when I took a tour all for myself.' I knocked the right bricks, and the wall opened revealing the hidden passage.

I smiled, and went in. 'I'm really sorry, mom, dad, Crisanto, Eric, but this is the way I am, I want to change, but there is no way I could make my hands clean for all the killings that I did, for those past years that I had been through.

The Mafia boss is part of my family, I can't let this alone ruin my family's relationship. If... if only I could just fix this, I'll be happy to. This way I could have a chance to change the ways of the mafia's rules.' I deducted all of the possibilities that could happen.

The failures, and the possibility. It's not necessary successful but... for them, I have to try. I NEED TO TRY FOR THE SAKE OF MY FAMILY.
