I was so ready to be released from the clinic and I couldn't wait to be home to think about everything. 

While I knew I would miss Casey and the other nursing staff, I was anxious about the email I had received from Mr. Winters and what it might mean.

When I sent him my email apologizing for missing work without any real explanation about why I was out, I hadn't thought he would reply so soon. 

From what I had been told Alpha Rogan had given him some excuse about my absence and the length of time I would need and he had believed it.

Maybe I shouldn't have said anything and waited for Alpha Rogan to get back with him about me returning to work. Maybe then he would have had a different response about my position in the company.

That night after I had finally fallen to sleep, I felt good knowing that I had reached out and would soon be returning to some sort of normalcy. Too bad it hadn't lasted long.
