How had this day gone by so slow and so fast all at the same time. Time was a b*tch. There was either never enough of it or it passed so slowly that you would give just about anything for it to move just a little quicker.

Running patrol, Dane had been able to let out some of the pent-up frustrations that we were both feeling, but I still couldn't clear my mind of all the new revelations I had learned in less than ten hours.

Maybe the gods were using our lives as amusement to pass the time for themselves. That would make more sense to me than this stuff just organically happening.
