Your New Home

Paldot stepped back, and adjusted his clothing, which had become ruffled in his excitement at the news. Headmaster Parvus turned the corner with a few uniforms in his hands, as well as a practice weapon.

"As a new student of his academy, you will be given five formal uniforms, as well as 2 informal uniforms. When attending class, you will be expected to wear your formal one. You will be allotted two free days, which you will be permitted to wear your informal uniforms. When on Academy grounds, you will not be permitted to wield any real weapons. This is for you, as well as other student's safety. These uniforms are made to be durable, but if you happen to damage it, you may go to the Academy Clerk to have it repaired. Since you are such a late arrival, your classes will begin tomorrow. I hope you're prepared!" The headmaster said before letting out a booming laugh.

"I look forward to the experience!" Keat said nervously, as he took the items from the old man's grasp followed by a respectful bow. The headmaster then motioned towards a tall half elf woman with a pleasant smile plastered across her face.

"She will show you to your room." Parvus replied, as he turned around and walked off. Without waiting for Keat to say anything, they woman took off and headed towards the eastern wing of the academy. Paldot, Emma and Tavion quickly scurried after them, not wanting to lose sight of the new student.

After several hours of goodbyes, advice and serious talks about the birds and the bees, Keat finally found himself alone in his room. He immediately let out a loud sigh as he pulled out his book and began to relax. As he read about Fall of Reton; the Tragedy of the Church, he eventually found himself dozing off...

By morning, he woke and dressed himself in preparation for his first class. Most students would have gone to the mess hall and had their breakfast. Keat, on the other hand, had other priorities in mind. He raced towards the training grounds and found himself before a fairly elaborate obstacle course. The course itself, had numerous logs that spun around at various heights, which would force the students to adapt their movements in order to not get hit. The further in you got in the course, the more unique the movement patterns of the logs became. Keat rush forward and dodged the first log, and then side stepped to the left to avoid a log that swung down shortly after. When he moved forward, however, a piece of the floor parted into a 2 foot deep pit, causing him to lose his balance. As he climbed out of the hole, a log swept in from the side, knocking the wind from his chest.

Gritting his teeth, Keat stood up and moved forward, side stepping again to narrowly avoid a log that came barreling down.

+1 Dex

'YES!' Keat thought, as a familiar ping rang out in his head. *SMACK* Keat's vision blurred for a moment, before he realized that he had gotten hit in the head by another log. "I should've waited to celebrate...' He thought to himself, as he quickly exited the training yard and rushed off to his class before he was late.

"Still, I can definitely use this to improve my Dexterity. It takes forever to upgrade my intelligence, wisdom and strength now, so I might as well focus on my dexterity.'

When he arrived at his class Swordsmanship class, he found only a dozen other students in the classroom, standing around and waiting for their teacher to arrive. All eyes fell upon the new arrival as he made his way to the back of the class, where he would try to avoid the attention of those around him...
