Chapter 20: Was She Homeless Now?

It's already past ten in the evening, and her employer walked to her, "Kendra, it's been late. You can go home now. Thank you so much for helping me these days."

"That's all right. I'm so grateful you accepted me to have this part-time job. I have to go now,"

"Okay, take care,"

Kendra walked out of the pastry shop and smiled happily. She earned hundreds of dollars these days. Though it was not much, Kendra was satisfied. At least, she was close to her success.

Kendra looked up to the sky and noticed it was so late. She had been back too late for days. Lendon didn't find it yesterday. Kendra hoped that he was still busy today.

When the taxi approached the forest, the driver stopped and said, "This is private property. I can't go ahead anymore. Someone tells me to stop."

"What? Usually, we can go in. What's happening?" Kendra said confusedly.

"I am afraid that you must get off here." The driver said.
