The Cursed Children

In the world I live in you are separated at birth from your parents and you are put into a schooling system. In this schooling system, you will live there and will have no contact with to the outside world. This world only includes children who are born differently. And by that, I mean these children are not born human nor are they born creatures. These children are born half human and magic. No one knows about these children except for government officials, and even the government officials don't know how this is caused. It is believed though those fake doctors would go around and infect pregnant women with some kind of blood. Of course, these children had a natural birth and were only discovered after they started to play around with their magick or posses none human strength. Once The government found out he collected all of the children and placed them into a schooling system to do research on them. The government would tell the parents that while taking them in for a test they passed away and this would leave the parents devastated. But in reality, the children were put into a school where they were taught that their parents abandoned them because of there abnormal human-like selves. But of course, the government is corrupt and thought that these children could be used in wars. But it was only natural I mean they had the non-human strength and their minds where beyond what human nature could ever achieve. You see the human brain only uses 10% of it. While depending on the animal the children brain could reach up to 40% or even higher. These children were thought to be the next generation of war weapons. A future public school that's the name of the school. But let's continue with this story.

My names Aristomache. But everyone just calls me Ari. I'm 13 and in 9th grade currently. I'm being transferred to Future ps from an underground lab that they kept me in for all of my life for some test. They told me I will be put into a room with 2 roommates until they have determined my rank. "Rank?" I asked. They didn't respond and just ignored me. When I arrived I was brought in to the principal's room. "Hello Ms. Ari," He said. "Hi" I replied He lifted up some papers he had in his hand. "It seems like you were quite the rebellious child at the lab" You froze as memorize came flashing through your mind. Each of the memories was you being abused or yelled at or even sometimes starved for bad behavior. You quickly felt yourself get light headed. " But despite that," He said " The lab decided that you were ready to socialize with people" Your eyes widened. Are they finally gonna let me see people and be able to hang out with 'friends' you thought to yourself? Since you've been in a lab your whole life they only people that talked to you where either scientist or people who the government sent in to see if they can buy you. But now you could see people around your age, you only could dream of this moment but now it's finally happening. "Ari we are sending up 2 of our students to show you around the school and to show you your classes. The door then suddenly opened and you saw 2 girls stare at you. " Oh right on time... Come in girls" They both stared at you and one of them gave you a smirk while the other clearly didn't like you already, she gave you this disgusted face and then faced the principal with a smile. "Anna come here" 1 of the girls walked towards the principal and said "yes sir" "Will you 2 please show our new student Ari" " Of course," They both said. The 2 girls then started to walk towards the door and you followed. Once you got out of the principal's room the door shut behind you and one of the girls let out a deep breath, "Oh god I thought I Was in trouble for a sec. The other girl just stared and you until she finally said "So what's your story" "My story?" I replied. " Yeah what magick ability do you have" " Um….." I actually don't know what ability I possess they never told me. "I don't know," You said. She stared at you. The other girl interrupted. "Maybe she'll figure it out in training" The 1st girl eyes widen and then a smirked cam onto her face. "That's right we have training today," She said. "Come on new girl I'll show you to class". The 2nd girl started walking and you followed. "By the way my names Hinari," She said. " Ari," you said back. "It's rare for us to get a new student especially at our age," She said, "Really why?" I asked, "Well all of our parents abandoned us as infants, so your parents must have loved you and they waited till now to give you up". I was confused "I was in a lab until now so I didn't even think of the possibility that I had parents". The girl paused and looked at you. "Lab?" She asked. "Yeah ever since I can remember I was in a lab this whole time" I replied. "That's weird," she said. "Yeah I guess," I said back.

I didn't think much of it, we just continued walking. Then we stopped. I looked right ahead of me and saw a big door. "This is the training room, here will determine your rank in the schooling system. "Rank?" I questioned. "Yeah you see the rank here determines how you live in the school and which classes you take, Ranks can go from the lowest from F to X rank. Depending on your power level and abilities that you are born with that determines your rank. F's are the lowest power ranks. That means they are born with abilities but just are not very that effective. E ranks are like the same thing except their power levels are more effective. D, C, and B ranks. Are combat units. Their abilities are used for fights and things like that. Ranks are a whole other story tho. Their abilities consist of fighting and their smart. Then there are X ranks" Her voice suddenly dropped as her eyes widen. She looked up at me with sheer terror. "They are monsters" "Monsters?" I questioned. "There abilities are out of this world. No one knows much about them since they have their own part of the school where they do their schooling and combat. But Once in a blue moon, someone will sneak into their territory and just try to catch a glimpse of them. The only person who was successful in this before a teacher came and caught them came back. When people asked him what happened all he said was "Their not like us… they are monsters, THEY CAN TEAR THIS WHOLE WORLD APART" Then he passes out." Oh is all I could think of.

"Anyways," Hinari said. " There should be a uniform in there for you for your training you should also get a school uniform" "Ok" I replied.

The other girl opened the door. It was a change room so I got in and looked around. " Here is your looker" Hinari said. I opened up my locker and saw my training uniform and my school uniform. Hinari was already getting dressed and so was the other girl. I changed into my training uniform and followed Hinari and the other girl outside to the battle arena is the only way I can describe it. It had a long field in a shape on a circle with a glass roof. Chairs surrounded the stadium on tall walls as 4 people from the distance could be seen sitting in a chair watching the field. "Those are the rankers," Hinari said. " They look at your ability level and see where you belong in the system. Hinari and the other girl started walking up the stairs to the chairs. We sat down and watched as students from the change room began to pour out and fill the stadium. One by one names were called and 2 students would stand up and go down to the arena. Rankers would watch as they showed off their ability and then gave them a rank. Hours went by as I watched students battle each other as they tried to show off their ability. Many students were injured and some even sent to the nurse's room as you could see student break their arms and maybe even fracture their skull.

Then I heard my name on the speaker "Aristomache rank unidentified vs Charlie rank A" Hinari gasped. She looked at me with pure concern in her eyes. " Why would they place you with such a high-level rank, This can't be right it must be a mistake" I got up and started to walk towards the stairs. "BE CAREFUL" I heard Hanari screaming from behind me.

Charlie seemed to have a tail and leopard ears. He's breed must be a leopard. I stepped up to the arena and faced him. "Look doll face," He said, " I'm not here to play around I don't care that you're a girl, I'm here to rebuild myself and prove I am an X rank and have everybody fear me, Don't blame me if you die". Death… That's a word I'm familiar with. It's a word that would be used all the time at the laboratory as threats to me or as I saw friends of mine before my eyes decay and rot. "READY START," The speaker said. Charlie didn't waste any time he ran towards me with him on all fours "NOW DIE" He's voice had joy in it almost as if he really wanted to kill me. No that's right, He does want to kill me, he wants me to suffer so he can feel joy. "Ari remember your promise to me" A familiar voice popped up in my head. Christina? "Remember no matter how far away we apart stay alive so that one day we will meet again" I quickly zone back into the gravity of the situation I was in. These thoughts were crossing through my mind. Christina was my best friend back in the lab and she was taken into somewhere because she was too weak. "Remember your promise" These thoughts buried into my mind racing across as I remember her tears of joy tears of pain and the worst of all the tears I had to witness as they pulled us away from each other. " DIE" I looked up to see Charlie right in my face. I put my hand forward Opened my fist and then closed it. " Perish," I said The whole ground beneath started to shake as before he could even lay and hand on me. He went flying and crashed into a wall. Blood splattered all around his body as he began to go down the wall eventually reaching the bottom and not moving. "AHHHH" horrifying screamed could be heard in the background as students just watched in horror. The rankers clear their throat as the speaker came on. " Aristomache rank level X" The whole room went quiet. As doctors began to flood the arena taking trying to get Charlie the help he needed one man came towards me. "Please follow me," He said. I did exactly as I was ordered. We walked through this dark long and dark hallway and was lead into other building. "This is where you will be staying" "What?" I said. "You are now an X rank I will send someone down to explain to you what will be happening here"
