Chapter 8: Aurora's Visit

Henry's Point Of View.

This is it. We were on our way to the source—and solution—of my problems.

I stood at my feet as Ella wrapped up the map and took it back into her closet. As she came out of the closet, I caught a stare from her bright green eyes, and realized only too late that I was still shirtless.

She stretched out her folded shirt towards me. "Here you go. I had the shirt washed and pressed for you."

"Thank you," I murmured, throwing the shirt on right there in the living room. Ella looked as though she was trying really hard not to stare at my naked chest; it forced a smug smile from me.

"We should start driving towards Alabama today. What do you think?" I asked.

Ella nodded. "Yes, we should. The sooner we can find this pot, the better."

"I'll have to get gas into my car, and pack a few essentials as well." I noted. "Let's converge by...say, twelve noon?"
