Who are you?

No matter how many times I look at myself. I could see the changes so vividly that there was no way it was a lie or dream yet I pinched myself to be sure about it. The pain assured me that the girl I could see in the poodle of water was me only. I could only be thankful to God that I did not die. But my whole body had changed. My shoulders have widened and my canine has grown. My nails have grown sharp and long and my skin has become thick like fur. Had i become a hybrid now that i did not die by the bite.

But even if I was alive, I could not go among humans like this. They would take me as a lab experiment. I took a deep breath. That meant I had nowhere to go. Tears started to flow down from my eyes as I realized that my life had become more miserable than death. I would live alone, hiding in the dark. It broke my heart that I would never be able to hear the scolding of my mother again and would not be able to taste the meals made by Nathan. It was all because of those creatures. My hands clenched into a fist when I remembered them. It was all due to their wish to kill me. If I ever got a chance, I would surely take revenge from them for destroying my life.

"Argh" I shouted once again as the pain of losing my family hit me hard. I wrapped my arms around my knees and kept crying at my fate. My senses slowly returned once my tears died and I was not able to shed more.

I have to accept my new hidden life in the woods like animals. Because, I was sure if I returned, they would find me and kill me. So, I could only hide here. I wonder if Nathan will be worried? Would my mother cry for me! I shook my head at my absurd thoughts. did it even matter now? I looked around at the dilapidated area. I could still stay here for a while until I found another place or way.

I went out of the tower to see if I could find something to eat. Now that the adrenaline rush had gone I could feel the layers of my stomach touching each other.

I looked around. There might be some fruits in the trees. With that thought I walked out while holding a sharp glass in my hands. This way I would be able to analyze my surroundings and at the same time I would find the place where I could have a meal.

But it was more difficult and troublesome than I had thought. I had always watched in movies how male leads pluck fruits for female leads when they get lost in the woods. Yet when I looked at the height of the trees and the rarity of the fruit bearing fruits, I once again cursed my luck.

Taking a deep breath, I looked at the berries that were the only edible I knew there. I had never climbed the trees so I had thought that it would be difficult, but thank goodness, I did it well. Not only that, my senses have become strong too. I could hear even the moving of squirrels and rustling of leaves, my eyes could see far away and my nose could smell everything distinctly.

Had I become an animal now? I shook my head as this was not the time to think about it. I took a lot of berries out of greed, and ate until I burped.

I continued to roam around. Last night, i did not know how i travelled so far. But I was sure, this place was deserted as I did not find a single person even after roaming all day.

I did not even realize how the whole day passed while exploring the area. But the sun was already about to set and I was hungry again after walking all day.

"Sigh. don't tell me that i have to spent all my days walking around and had to eat berries every time when i would be hungry!'' I have already started to dislike the blueberries in my hands. I may sound picky but it was not a solid food to make me full.

But when I was complaining in my heart, I heard a howl and then a roar and I trembled. I even forgot that I was hungry as I ran away. Were they still trying to find me? I could not help but think that they were near me.

I saw a cauldron of bats flying over me and I hid behind the tree. l after the incident, i would never be able to look at the animals in the same way.

How much time had passed, when i finally came out. I ran straight towards my only safe haven for now, the clocktower. I slammed the door shut after entering. not that it could stop anyone from entering as it was already half fallen yet it gave me a feeling of safety. I walked the stairs and hid behind the machine. I decided to sleep here like last night and closed my eyes to spend one more night here.

"Who are you?"
