Chapter 90 Beast

She didn't let go. She wrapped her hands around his waist as she rested her head on his body.

His back was rested on the headboard and one of his legs was stretched on the bed while the other was barely touching the floor as he sat in a laying position, holding her in his arms.

She was still wrapped in towels because she didn't want to let go of him. She was not even fully conscious at the moment but her body wanted him. Even in her subconscious state, she needed him.

His eyes strolled from her hair to her skin as they stayed fixated on her back. He couldn't help but feel terrible. He thought of what happened as he moved the hair on her face backward. He kept caressing a single spot on her back with his other hand, while the other held her shoulder.

He couldn't help but think about what would've happened if he didn't come to see her out of desperation. He didn't even want to imagine what would've happened if he lost her. The more he thought of it the more he held her tightly.

The door opened as tiger and Klaus rushed in with grim expressions on their faces. Nicholas had pressed the emergency button and it left everyone alarmed. In a split second, Bennett was behind them.

They both rushed to bed where Nicholas was sitting. They didn't notice the person with him because he covered her with a thick bed sheet. Only her back was exposed. Her chest rested on his body and her head rested on his belly. She held him like a cuddle bear and didn't let go.

Their eyes were on Nicholas surveying his entire body making sure he was okay and asking him numerous questions, without even waiting for an answer. They just kept the questions going.

Klaus: Are you okay?

Tiger: where does it hurt?

Bennett: do you have a fever?

Klaus: why are you here?

Tiger: is it a cut?

Bennett: Did she hurt yo...

The old butler's eyes strolled to the figure in front of him as trailed off from what he wanted to say. He saw the white skin underneath the covers and her pure black hair. She wasn't noticeable because of how Nicholas covered her.

Only the side of her face was visible and the other side was on his body. Her eyes were closed and her arms around his body.

They all went silent when they saw her in his arms and the expression on his face. He had 'the ghost look'

They were all confused. Nicholas didn't look like he was in the mood to talk. He was too engrossed in the thought that he almost lost her. He couldn't help to think that she wanted to kill herself. He couldn't believe that she attempted murder because of him.

Was it how much she hated him? Was it how badly she didn't want to be with him? Is he really that terrible that she wouldn't even consider his terms and conditions?

Shit

"Why the hell are there no maids in this room?" His voice was low and had a hint of a growl. Tiger, Klaus, and Bennett exchanged glances as the question left Nicholas's lips.

Bennett finally summoned the courage to speak as his head was bent down in answer.

"T-they didn't think she would need them in the room with her, sir". He managed.

"What do you mean by that?" Nicholas asked directing his gaze to the old man that spoke. "They didn't think? They need permission to do their jobs?" It was clear that he was angry. His voice was clear evidence.

Bennett didn't utter a single word anymore. He didn't dare speak. Nicholas was getting mad and he didn't want to trigger it to its maximum. His head was still bent down as his master spoke.

"Fire them". He growled. His eyes were dim. He wasn't in the right frame of mind anymore. He was angry. "Fire them all". He was mad at himself, he was mad at her, he was mad at everything, but he still held unto her so tight.

When will he get the chance to hold her again?

She hates him with all her guts and doesn't even want to live anymore.

The fact that she tried to kill herself drove him insane.

Fuck!

"Yes sir". Bennett spoke as the order was given to him. He couldn't believe what he just heard yet he wasn't surprised. This is Nicholas after all. He is a freaking beast.

Bennett bowed and excused himself as he started walking towards the door. He couldn't help but think of how he was going to fire 50 maids all at once. He thought of how his master was mad, he thought of the way he held zhavia in the room. He thought of how Nicholas always had a weak spot for the woman in his arms.

The old butter took the elevator to the first floor as he thought of carrying out the orders of his boss.

Tiger and Klaus stood beside Nicholas as he spoke. Recruiting the maids would be a piece of cake. They could even do it in a day, but the look on Nicholas terrified them. For the first time since they knew him, they saw his skin pale.

It was new. It was not even possible for Nicholas to be pale. What is wrong with him? He doesn't seem like himself. Something was not right.

"Call doctor tan". He ordered and Tiger nodded as he went to a corner of the room to place the call. Klaus on the other hand had the concerned look on his face. He wondered what could've possibly happened to her.

His eyes surveyed the woman in front of Nicholas as he saw her wet hair. It was already a little bit dry but he could see that it was dripping wet just a few minutes ago.

Nicholas's eyes were still on her and they never left her face. He didn't want to take his eyes off her. After what he just encountered a few minutes ago, he didn't even want to blink. She almost slipped right from his hands. He almost lost his life, his goddess.

Zhavia's eyes opened to the diamond glistering chandelier. The last time she remembered, she was in the bathroom, now she is on the bed? Her eyes went down to her body. She was wearing a new cloth.

She didn't understand what was going on. She couldn't understand why she was on the bed. She tried to get up as she sat up on the bed.

She was wearing just a thick large sweater. It was long and it went lower than her butt slightly. Just as she was about to get up from the bed, she felt his eyes on her. A piercing stare.

Her heart thudded heavily underneath her chest. Just the sight of him and she couldn't even control her own breath. That is exactly what his presence does to her. It makes her breathless.

She tried to convince herself that she wasn't dreaming as she bit her tongue. She felt the pain and it was real indeed. He was in her room.

"How did I get here?" She asked looking at him. She was feeling so many emotions at the moment but she was still trying to figure out how she got to the bed when she was clearly having one of the best bath times of her life.

Her eyes widened as a thought sipped into her head.

"Did you put these clothes on my body?" She asked still sitting on the bed.

His eyes were still fixed on her. His expression was grim. He didn't look like he was there for jokes, the look on his face was terrifying. He walked closer to the bed, his hands were crossed backward.

"Do you despise me so much that your life doesn't matter to you any longer?" Nicholas asked. His voice was deep, low, and far from calm. He was pissed.

Zhavia's brows rose to his words. She didn't understand what he was saying.

"Do your life mean nothing to you?" He was getting angrier and angrier as he spoke and his voice was getting loud.

"What do you mean?" Zhavia asked as she stood up from the bed as she spoke. "What are you saying?" She spoke as she walked toward him. "I don't understand, what do you mea....."

He cut her off as he spoke with anger.

"How dare you try to take your own life?" He exploded with a roar. He was mad, he was furious, he was pissed.

She jolted as his voice traveled around the room. She had never been scared in her entire life but the man in front of her was fearful.

He scared her. She was terrified, she shivered.

He walked closer to her and the closer he got to her, the more she moved backward. She didn't even realize that she was moving back.

She had never seen this part of him before. The man in front of her was not him anymore. The man in front of her was an angry beast.
