Chapter 119 Anthony de Corrigan ||

The room was empty; just like his heart. He felt empty. He felt alone. He was tired of being alone. She had left a huge space in his heart that no one, not even a single person could replace the void she left in his heart.

It had been four whole years and he still can't get her out of his head. He hadn't been able to do anything straight without the thought of her; their endless passion, their obsession for one another. They understood each other perfectly like they had lived together for years like she was his home, his life. Her eyes were stuck in his head, her smiles were all he dreamt of. He had missed her voice the other day and decided to call her. Luckily for him, she was still connected to that number, She still kept that card that he loved so much.  Her voice was printed in his head and he could recognize it anywhere.

The moment he heard her voice, all the emotions he didn't know he had surfaced. This woman had left a very huge mark on his chest. She had left a deep bruise in his heart that he wasn't sure he was going to heal anytime soon. She hurt him, broke him and everything he was. He wasn't even sure he was going to live after she left him the way she did. He was sure of a heart attack and nothing less because the pain she inflicted on him was not endurable. It was murderous.

Her voice never changed, her fierce commanding voice was still there. That sweet, sweet voice of hers that cowered whenever he kissed her out of breath. They were like fire and fire— that consuming mixture. They were both dominant and commanding, but when it came to him, she was submissive and strikingly seductive. She made him an obsessive mess and rendered him clueless about it.

'Is your home still available for one more person?'

Those words left his lips without him even knowing it— this is what her voice does to him every single time he heard it. She is the only woman capable of making him this way. The only woman capable of turning him into an uncomposed freak. She made him helplessly in love with her and left him hopelessly.

The previous night played over and over again in his head.

"Meredith, baby, listen we can talk about this, please". He pleaded desperately trying to talk to her, trying to reason things with her.

"Don't...... don't call me that".  Her voice was shaky as she tried to compose herself.

"What do you mean? What are you trying to say?" God, he fought so hard to keep his control but his heart failed him. He is such a mess for her. He moved closer to her but she moved back in reflex not wanting him to touch her. He couldn't even hold her and tell her that nothing was going to change between them.

"I-i can't do this, I can't do......I can't do this, Anthony". She managed, feeling so much at the moment. She couldn't even think at this point. There were so many thoughts running through her mind and she just couldn't clarify them sooner. She didn't clarify them until she became intimate with him, she was already in love with him in just a few days.

How did this happen?

"What do you mean you can't do this? After all, we shared? a-after all we felt? You're just gonna throw all of it away because of some age?" He was basically on the verge of losing it. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe what was happening to him at this point. This is the woman he just told that he was going to spend his entire life with. He just told her that he was going to spend eternity with her, that she was going to be his end game. In just a few days, she had hypnotized him and driven him mad and in just a few hours she is about to turn his world upside down.

"YES!"  She rose her voice basically panicking at this point because this was too much for her to take in. "Yes Tony, I am going to throw all of it in the bottom of the ocean if I have to, and I am NOT going to think twice about it". Her heart was bleeding. She knew she was lying. She knew she couldn't do without him. She knew she was blabbing and if he persuades her more than this, she was going to forget about everything and go anywhere in the world with him.

She was going to throw all cautions to the wind for this man and will not give a fuck about it. Fucking hell it had just been days. Days and she was already losing her mind to this kid.

"You can't do this to me Meredith....I ....I love you". He walked closer this time trying to get close to her. Trying to at least hold her and know that he wasn't dreaming. He wanted to know if he was going to lose his breath taker in the blinking of an eye. He wanted to know if he was going to lose his other half right in front of him. Hell, he just met her a couple of days ago and she already completes him. She fits him perfectly. She fits his life perfectly.

She scoffed trying all she could to hurt him because that was the only way he was going to let go of her. "You don't know what you're saying. Love? Do you even know what love is?". She ran her hand through her hair and was not composed anymore. She was losing it.

His is eyes were directly on her. It didn't leave her face, and her heart shattered into a million pieces at the man in front of her. Her heart ached nonstop at this view.

"Don't fool yourself. I am against this and that's final.....I can't be with you and that's it". She concluded, trying to convince herself that he will be okay when she leaves. That he would find someone else to love with and move on after a couple of years.

"Is this it? Is this how it all ends? Is thIs how you're going to ignore what you feel for me?" The hurt was evident in his voice. The hurt was evident in her eyes.  She was hurting exactly the same way he was hurting. What she feels for this man was inevitable. It was real and she knew.

"I don't want to have anything to do with you ever again, tony. What you and I shared ends here and now". Her voice was firm. He nodded and watched her walk out of the room and out of his sight.

Her heart was in chaos. Her head was spinning as she broke down. She couldn't take it anymore. This was unfair. This is unfair to her, and even to him.

Why?

Why is life so unfair to her?

Why does she have to make decisions that will always come back to bite her in the ass? Her mind was blank as she cried out her heart on the floor.

He was in a trance when the voice of his Buttler called him out of the dark past that he was in.

"Sir, madame seeks your presence in her chambers". Hugo concluded with his head bent to his boss.

HUGO EVANS - Anthony de Corrigan || personal butler.

He didn't even bother to answer him. Right now his mind was in a fog and he didn't want to be bothered. He just needed peace and time to think. He didn't want anyone else but her. He didn't think of anything else but her and at this point,  he doesn't just want to think about her, he wanted to be with her. He wanted to feel her again, he wanted to touch her.

She is all he wants, all he needs, all he cares and thinks about.

He walked out of the room that looked like it was built by Zeus himself. His steps were slow, calm, and composed. He was like a god that commanded peace and pride. His eyes were dim but their original color is grey. His dark undercut slip hair added to his charming aura.

He approached the large golden door as it slid open as he approached it. He walked in.

The walls of the large room were pure white. The furniture it held was white with a mixture of gold. The vases and paintings in the room were priceless and were all made of gold. And in the incredibly luxurious room, held one of the beauties of the world, a woman with pride and power. Francine de Corrigan.

FRANCINE DE CORRIGAN - The wealthiest woman in France. Rude, beautiful, never ages, a multi-billionaire, has an eye for beauty, and is luxuriously classy.

"I see you've decided to come back home". Her voice was low and calm. She wasn't looking anything close to concerned.

It had been three whole years since he left home and just returned to the country after a long time.

He had arrived home.

He is back.
