She sat highly on the long large table of board members. All eyes were on her as she spoke with power and pride. Never for once had she not been composed. Her gestures and charisma simply spelled out class and understanding. Her words were slow and very reasonable. Her eyes roamed around everyone in the room, her arms rested on the hand of the chair and her legs were crossed.
Meredith hadn't been in her best mood lately. Her words were calm and plain. It was obvious that something was wrong with her but no one dared to ask— you've got to have a lot of balls to speak to Meredith when she clearly needed space.
After a few hours,
"We will continue this in the next meeting". Her voice was low but heard as she stood up with her P.A behind her. The files on the table were picked up by one of the employees at the left.
"Felicia, make sure all of those documents are sent to Nicholas's office". She ordered just as she walked out of the room.
"Yes, ma'am".
FELICIA ROMERO— Meredith Alviero Ross's personal assistant. A minor shareholder, and a multi-millionaire.
Roger was already at the door waiting for her. He walked right beside her and didn't stare a glance at her. He just carried out his job professionally without getting his personal feelings attached. The day and time for that were over.
The door to the Rolls Royce was open as she approached the car. Her black long palazzo suit pants fitted her perfectly with the white inner camisole and the long black suit jacket placed on her shoulders. She walked with pride.
In a split second, she was in the car with Roger sitting right beside her.
"Where are we going next, ma'am?" The driver asked but her attention was out the window.
"Take me to the estate". She said nonchalantly, still staring out the window. He clouded her mind and her thoughts. His voice, his scent, his eyes, his smiles. It had been years, four straight years and he still remembered her.
His call the other day took her unaware. She thought he had forgotten about her. She thought that what they shared was over. That night, that incredibly, magical night. She discovered so many emotions she thought she didn't have any more ever since she fell out of love with Johnathan before he died. She remembered how he gave, how he took. How she trembled underneath him and how she longed for more. How he unveiled her passion. How they made love senselessly.
He was just a stranger that got to know her and understood her completely in less than a week. He swept her off her feet with just a look, he seduced her mercilessly, he roasted her insides, her organs, her body with just spoken words. For the first time since Johnathan died, she longed for a man. She wanted him and she didn't care if he was just a stranger. He felt the same about her, they were deeply attracted to each other and it had just been a week.
He wanted to get to know her. She wanted the same too. They enjoyed each other's company and it was one of the best moments of her life. Not until she found out the inevitable truth. She had her suspicions because it was evident in his appearance. She thought of it but wasn't certain at all. She was so embarrassed when she found out. She couldn't believe it. He was younger.
She couldn't believe that she made love to a man she was older than. Her head was about to explode when she found out. She couldn't even look at him, she didn't even want to think about it.
He didn't care about it. He didn't care if she was older, he just wanted to be with her. He fell in love with her and she knew because she also fell in love with him too. For fuck's sake they made love countlessly in one night. They couldn't get enough of each other. They stayed up all night cuddling and talking. He was a beautiful dream, a fairytale. What they felt was real, but practically impossible.
"We're here". Roger called out to her.
She was called out of her thoughts when he uttered those words. Her eyes were still on the road but her ear was with him.
"This estate had been vacated for years now. No one had been here except the maids and the other employees". He explained to her. His eyes were on her but she wasn't looking at him at all. He knew that something was bothering her but Meredith would rather bottle things up than open up to anyone. To her, opening up to people is just showing them your weakness and your vulnerability.
The bodyguards at the entrance of the mansion rushed to open the door of the car. She stepped out. Her eyes surveyed the environment but all she saw was him. She started walking towards the large door at the entrance of the mansion with Roger behind her.
"Miss Middleton called earlier ma'am. I told her that I wasn't in the country but I carried out her needs". His voice was calm as he spoke to her. Meredith only nodded. She walked straight into the elevator. The elevator door opened to the large hallway that led to her chambers. Roger remained in the elevator when she stepped out. He would never go into her chambers until he is called upon.
He was disappointed that he doesn't know how to make her feel better. He was disappointed that he didn't find out what was wrong with her. He felt like he had failed. The elevator door closed back after she stepped out and he went downwards. Ever since she made that call, she had been acting so weird and it got him all tensed and worried.

"W-what, ah, uh, I-i-i um, well Nicholas needs the both of you now". Bennett managed. He couldn't believe what he saw a few minutes ago. How they were in each other's arms, how their faces were red, how their hair was messed up, how their breath was heavy. They looked like they just made out.
"Okay, we'll be out soon". Tiger blurted, still looking at Klaus. His eyes never left the man of his dreams.
"That's duty calls mr, Alejandro". He teased.
Klaus chuckled at his words still standing really close to him as he gave him a peg.
"Well, aren't you such a lucky man Mr. Herdes. You have no idea what I want to do to you right now".
There was something etched in his voice when he uttered those words. It turned him on. The way he looked at him and the tone he used on him just made him weak all over again.
Tiger bites his lips slightly. It was a reflex action.
"Let's get this over with".
He looked at the man in front of him and his eyes were still on him hungrily. He was fucking teasing him with his eyes. He wasn't sure he could resist any of the things this man did to him. He could've sworn that he was tempting him so bad.
"Okay, as you wish baby". Klaus muttered.
They both walked out of the room and into the hallway side by side. Normally, they would tease each other till they approached Nicholas, but right now, the looks on their faces spelled just one thing. Love.

Bennett was still in shock from what he saw. He Couldn't believe it. He tried to think, he remembered how they stared at each other the other day. He remembered how they always fought but no one knew what they were fighting about. He remembered the way they had avoided each other. He clicked his finger together and placed them on his chin, caressing as he remembered.
The elevator door opened and he was back to his senses. Everything he thought about now was all forgotten, for he stood in the presence of the dark man. All eyes were on him when he came in. With Nicholas in their mist, it was difficult for anyone to breathe. The aura he possessed at the moment was sickening. It was very dark and no one dared to even move from their positions.
The elevator door opened to the large room as tiger and Klaus stepped out. Their eyes found the dark man as they walked to him. Their eyes strolled to the figure in the seat.
"Is she okay?"
There was a concerned look on Tiger's face. "I'll call doctor tan". He concluded. Klaus on the other hand dismissed everyone except Bennett. They were now back in action. That bubble they were in had been popped. They were now grim.
Nicholas nodded as he kept feeding her. Her eyes were slightly open but they only looked at one thing, one person. They only saw one person.
They only saw Nicholas Alviero Ross.
