Tampering with a vampire's memory

Marina blinked at Ronald's words trying to catch on to what the king was saying.of course he wasn't asking her to erase all his memories,right?

"Relax you scardy little witch am not asking you to erase all my memories.i just need a portion of it to be…..you know…. poooof"Ronald said making the poof sound with his mouth as he tilted his head.

Marina furrowed her eyebrows wondering why he wanted to erase some memories from his head. "But that is a powerful source of magic your highness"she frowned knowing it would take her all the strength she could gather to do such magic especially deeming the fact that he was a vampire and no average one at that.

"Calm down witchy let me finish before you start complaining"Ronald said twitching his lips to have the witch's eyes widen.there was more? at this rate he would drain all the energy left in her.

"I need you to help me track down some wraiths. isnt that such a wonderful exploration?"Ronald said his fangs peaking out of his mouth as he now smiled at the witch.but the smile only aggravated the witch.

Tracking down the wraiths shouldn't be a problem but this vampire wanted to have some of his memories erased. It was going against the law of nature and the fact that he exists was already a wrong of nature and yet he still wanted her to mess with his brain?

"I can track down the wraiths"marina said hoping he was just joking about erasing his memory but the vampire was far from joking.

"Fantastic"Ronald smiled but it was a smile that wasn't  reaching his eyes as he now deeped his hand inside of his trousers pocket bringing out a small tinted glass can handing it over to her. "Those are the ashes of one of the wraiths"Ronald said while the witch went over to bring out a paper as she poured the ashes on it.

Marina closed her eyes allowing all the candles that surrounded them to lit up.she chanted some spells and the ashes that were on the paper started to move in different directions.she then went ahead to use the small knife she held to cut her wrist to have her blood drop on the paper letting it mix with the ashes.

The ashes mixed with blood went in different directions on the paper and as soon as it stopped moving,the witch opened her eyes.her suddenly white eyes returned back to it's grey colour as she looked over at the King. "They are in different locations your highness,but most of them stay in the west" marina informed the king who nodded his head.

"Great! Let's get on to the other part"Ronald deadpanned and marina could feel her lungs getting tied. was he really serious?

"What would you like to remove from your memory your highness?"marina asked and she saw the the charming and seductive smile he had given off a moment ago drop as his red eyes darkened. The way he was looking at her right now looked no less to the devil staring right down at her which made her gulp down suddenly feeling a chill run down her spine.

Ronald took a deep breath in as he parted his lips "A girl. here,I brought her hand bracelet"

Marina blinked not believing what she was hearing. she had so many questions to ask but she dared not. "I don't think I have enough power to......."the witch was about saying but was cut short when she heard the entrance of her door making a loud thud to have her eyes abruptly turn to look at who it was.

Marina gulped down hard seeing the man that now walked to stand in the middle of her and the king.

"You just can't seem to keep your sneaky little nose out of my business can you dear brother"Ronald said glaring at Nick who only licked his tongue his hands going into his pockets.

"What do you think you are doing"marina shivered at the cold voice that just sounded in her ears and she cursed the luck she had today at being stuck in the middle of two dangerous brothers.

She didn't even know which was more dangerous than the other.though,Ronald often smiled,it wasn't a smile that held any warmth but at the same time whenever he smiled he looked so seductively pleasant to see while the other was just there! he never smiled nor gave anyone something good to remember him by.although if one were to look beyond his ever so fierce personality that drove people away one would see his ungentle features that would drive any lady crazy.

She shifted back away from the two as she didn't want to be in the middle of these two demons keeping her head bowed.

"At this point one would just think you are obsessed with me"Ronald remarked with a smirk as he now turned to look at his witch who's head was bent staring at the floor. "Look there! You scared my poor witch"Ronald said and marina almost laughed. If there was anyone she was scared of right now it was him! Trying to fry her brain by making her erase his memories of some girl she doesn't even know.

"You know,it is quite fascinating to see you loose your sanity over a girl. the sight gives me some such immense pleasure don't you think so dear witch"Nick said directing his question to Marie to have her knees freeze on the spot. Nick making taunts like these wasn't something one often witnessed.

"Oh dear brother are you jealous?"Ronald's lips pulled up as he now walked to to stand in front of Nick dusting off nothing in particular on the shoulder length of his shirt.

"Am just saying, considering the fact of how you left your three consorts in the palace untouched.am really starting to feel bad for those poor souls"Nick clicked his tongue putting on an act as if he were really feeling the women's pain.

Sometimes he had wondered whether his brother here was incapable of being a man but who knew all it took was a human girl to prove that all wrong. After all,it was something to worry about if a man had not even made any feable attempt to touch a woman for so many decades now. When he wasn't a statue.

"I know you didn't just follow me all the way here to tell me how sorry you are for those poor women living their best life in the palace"Ronald said smiling to the point where it reached his ears but it was a smile that was far from reaching his eyes.

Although the two seemed to be joking around with each other,marina could sense the tension in the air and occasionally she would hold her breath so as to stop her body from trembling so much. These two were a very bad combo as they would literally tear down a place with just their presence.

"Do you have that much faith in your witch to be handing her such a task? How are you sure she won't fry your brain"nick had dropped the sarcastic tone as his voice now turned deadly serious but Ronald being Ronald only gave off a malicious smile.

"You should be done now witchy what are you waiting for"Ronald said his voice directed to marina but his gaze not leaving Nick's,as they both stared into each other's eyes.

Jolting herself back awake,marina scurried out of there to get all what she would need leaving the two devils to devour each other however they pleased.
