The Crimson Eyed Witch

As soon as I finished packing up my items, I begun walking down the hallway in this massive mansion, I had been told to term 'home'. For some strange reason that term didnt sit right with me. I stopped to look at myself in a mirror.

I scanned my body from my pale skin, to my white hair to my crimson red eyes. That wasnt by original eye colour, though. They were contacts I had been given ever since I was around the tender age of 6.

Heterochromia iridium. I was born with 2 different coloured eyes. I know this had no effect on a person's vision, yet I was half blind for most of the early stage in my life. If you asked me exactly when, I would tell you I didnt know.

One day I just suddenly couldn't see well. I told the scientists in the white room and they gave me two options. The first was to wear glasses and the second was to wear a pair of contact lenses. I figured, contact lenses would be more amusing, so I chose those.

Strangely, the scientists actually asked me what colour I wanted. They rarely gave us options, so I was baffled at first but scanned through the list. Then I chose the crimson coloured contact lenses. Why did I choose that one? Well... if I had to guess, I'd say because I wondered how amusing it would be to have red eyes.

Then suddenly my performance in the white room sky rocketed. Don't get me wrong. It's not like the glasses had any sort of mechanism or magic that made me smarter (Although that would have been pretty cool). It was due to the fact for the first time in my life, I could see clearly.

The other students, completely shocked by the development gave me the title Crimson Eyed Witch. Because, just like a magic trick, I had risen from a common place to one of the most powerful students there. Yes. Just like... a witch who uses magic.
