Living Life

It had taken longer than Daedalus expected for his body to return to normal, a whole two weeks. Luckily in that time he had been able to develop himself in the community.

He was known as someone to go to for odd jobs. Using that he showed himself to be a kind man that they could trust to get a job done well. His tremendous work ethic helped immensely.

Now Daedalus had a small amount of land on the edge of the islands central forest. He was surprised to learn that the forest was withering which he thought was unbelievable considering the rich Yang energy.

In an attempt to understand Daedalus decided to learn more about the biology of things on this planet so that he could widen his scope of knowledge. This had him realise just how strange it was that the previous two worlds were so similar to eachother.

It only took a couple weeks after deciding to learn more that Daedalus had made the right acquaintances so that he could ask them for their knowledge. They were a little concerned on what he was going to use it for but Daedalus told them that it was to hopefully heal the forest he lived on the edge of. That excuse immediately quelled most concerns the people had. So with his new knowledge Daedalus began experimenting with methods he could use.

After that it didn't take much work getting into a rhythm. The first three days of the week were spent taking care of the plants in the forest he had figured out how to care for. The next two days were spent working on odd jobs or with the fishermen. The final days where used on any personal projects he had or experimenting on the plants and ore he had found.

Three months later and Daedalus had become well known for being good with plants, animals and the ground. This was because it wasn't uncommon to see Daedalus bringing plants, animals or ore to sell in the market. Occasionally he would bring in smelted ore and once he even brought in a well forged piece of farming equipment, that had led to a first fight between two farmers.

Daedalus had considered starting a shop but he was planning to move on from the island within the year so he decided it would be best to not have them start relying on him. To make it clear to the populace that he wasn't planning on staying he had started working in the shipyard more often and working on a ship for himself and paying for using the space and materials by helping with other ships.

Five months later and everyone knew that Daedalus was planning to move on but that he was also planning to become a merchant and sell stuff from his ship.

The forest had healed up nicely and Daedalus had sold off his methods to taking care of the forest to almost everyone. Hopefully when he returned the forest was as vibrant if not more so.
