THE CONCUBINE WARRIOR
Venus was living comfortably in her new world as the daughter of the noble chieftain. Her world was turned upside down when the King of Wolves announced his intention to abdicate and retire in favor of his heir and only child, the Crown Prince. During the coronation, the king desired to give his son, the new king, women from various noble houses as concubines. Their Chief Scout had received the letter, which her father was now reading. She didn't want to be a concubine to the king. But she was aware that her father was the king's liege, and that he would obey the king's command. Hundreds of beautiful women paraded in front of the new king to be chosen as the high rank concubines. She tried her hardest to appear mediocre and kept her appearance simple yet modest. But, to her dismay, the decision had already been made based on family influence rather than their abilities, intelligence, or even beauty. Her father was the most powerful chieftain of the north, and she was chosen as one of the king's five high ranking concubines. Venus was uninterested in carrying out her responsibilities as one of the king's wives. She will go to any length to avoid the king. She intended to return to her world, the future, but how would she do so? The link between her current world and her original world had already been severed. In her world, she was a pure blood wolf and the best wolf huntress, but here, she's a second rate wolfless among the the wolves. The new king discovers her and realizes she is his mate, but the king has already made the evil witch from the East his queen. She set her up and was exiled to the Northern gate, where the undead wolves attacked the border. The border situation deteriorated, and the king paid a visit to his troops. He came across his exiled wife fighting the enemies and was applauded by all of his warriors. But when the king rejected and exiled her, the love she felt for him turned into hatred and the mate's bond vanished. Venus despised the king for the injustice she had experienced. What will become of them. What if her secret was discovered? That she was altered, with the witch and wolf's genes engineered and interlaced with the brain computer and implanted in her brain. The agency that created her became terrified of the most advanced weapon they had created throughout wolf and human history, which they had embedded in her. They decided to get rid of her. She escaped and entered this wolf's primitive parallel world full of magic.
The Summon
The queen summoned her; she expected them to gather again while watching a traditional show, but she didn't expect her and her crony to make lower-ranked concubines their show. Leyna was one of those concubines, and the queen initially ordered them to serve them.
She wanted to object because these women are born nobles. Their family treated them as treasures, and they trusted that the king's household, particularly the queen, would do the same. Venus waited to see how far the queen would go in exercising her power. When Leyna dropped the glass of tea on the third level royal wife's gown was ruined due to her clumsiness and nervousness, the woman went insane and slapped Leyna. She stopped the second level royal wife from doing what the third wife did.
"Sit down, or I'll slapped you in the face that your teeth will come out because of the impact. You disrespect her, you disrespect me," she said as she pushed the woman to her seat. When she approached at the third level wife, the woman turned pale. "Are you aware of what you did?" she asked. The woman didn't say a word. Then she strikes the woman, causing her to stagger and fall to the ground. "Did you taste your own blood?' She asked again
"Do it again with her, and I'll make sure your family lives outside your manor," she threatened. Venus was second-in-rank, next to the queen. She found her rank after the wedding ceremony. This world valued hierarchy so much. The second royal wife, has noble blood but she came here with nothing except her family's debt from hers. She knew if she'll make the wrong move, her father will confiscate their manor and land. She has the privilege to choose three concubines in her protection ans she picked Leyna and two other innocent young girls based on Lilet's assessment
She bowed to the queen and motioned for Leyna and two other concubines under her protection to follow. The queen did not say anything but stared at her fiercely. Being neutral is a curse! There are many evils in any of the world she lived in because people like her chose the easiest way to live. Her refuge is the battlefield, but she has found fulfillment in removing cowards in their safe haven.
She knew that the incident was the beginning of her misfortune. She discovered that the third wife was punished by lashing. The queen knew exactly how to wield her power. Lilet informed her that the palace maids were gossiping about her cruelty. That the poor third wife was punished for touching her ally. She knew who was spreading the rumors.
In exchange, she lavishly rewarded her maids, to show them that she was nothing like the queen wanted to portray of her. She directed Lilet to gather information on her maids and staff members' families. The queen will not directly strike her, but she will strike those who were close to her. And she was correct.
She was summoned again the second time. Lilet was being held by one of the queen's maids. Her android assistant alerted her to the fact that she was being held hostage. Instead of being concerned, she smirked triumphantly. She bowed to the queen, who smiled back. She was led to her assigned seat, which faced Lilet.
"I summoned you to put an end to the gossip that was spreading in the houses of wives. To stop the chaos you'd caused, I decided to punish your personal maid as a sacrifice."
Venus's smile was suppressed; of course, Lilet is willing to sacrifice herself. She was created to be her companion and to serve her. Her loyalty is solely hers. "Your Majesty, I accept your decision. I will be eternally grateful to Lilet for this sacrifice."
The queen then motioned the third wife to start the punishment of Lilet, which she did. She directed Lilet to act appropriately when they punished her. When the third wife groaned in pain as she struck Lilet, she flinched. Her android was constructed of tough platinum metal. He activated Lilet's electrical power, causing muscle spasms and shocks whenever anyone touched her. Lilet's fake blood was oozing from her nose. It was the third wife who was in pain right now not Lilet.
When the queen motioned for next wife to strike Lilet, the second wife was hesitant. She was afraid of Venus. The woman appeared to be frail, and Lilet assessed her strength. Because the second wife will be unable to tolerate electrification, she has decided to turn it off.
Nonetheless, the second wife screamed as the bones in her fingers cracked as she struck Lilet. Another fake blood oozed from Lilet's open mouth. The second wife, who appeared frail, was still screaming in agony. People in the audience admired Lilet for her grace under pressure and bravery in the face of public humiliation and chastisement. They cast annoyance on the two wives, especially the elders who witnessed the drama.
She rose and bowed to the queen. "Thanks to my brave maid, the two wives received the justice they sought. It is my responsibility to look after a loyal servant like her," she said with poise.
"I want you to leave the hall," the queen said. "Justice has not yet been served. As what had done with the third wife, the punisher will lash her five times."
People can see Venus's silent communication with Lilet after she bowed. She exited the hall gracefully. The queen can't accept defeat and she expected it. All her plans backfired at them. She realized she was in the secret garden when she reached the hallway. She had promised herself not to return here for a few days, but she was now sitting in the same spot where she had stood the previous time.
She was thinking about how to deal with the queen, the north's sworn enemy. She knew the queen despised the northerners because the late king had sided with them when they gathered evidence of the queen's mother's treachery and wickedness.
Lilet informed her that the punishment had been completed. She directed her and Luke to proceed to her tower first, then transport to their spacecraft. She made a quick turn as she flipped and was surprised to see the exterminator staring at her. She remembered how she slapped and kicked him . He will surely humiliate her again.
She groaned, knowing that if she tried to pass him, he'd catch her. She tried to flee but was stopped by the hard-concrete balustrade. Then an idea formed inside her head, she decided to go swimming to avoid him. She jumped in one swift motion. "Nooooo!" she heard the exterminator's horrified voice before the water hit her body.
