Prologue
I never imagined myself to be the villain in anyone's story. Is it wrong of me to believe that no matter what, I'm still a good person?
Good girls don't grow up into adulterers, and if anyone told me months ago that I would be walking down this road...I would have called them crazy.
But it's true.
My name is Yang Aera. And somehow along the way, I became a homewrecker without knowing it. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow when it's right in front of you. You'll feel like your heart is being ripped out of your chest, and then comes the suffocating pain of knowing you'll never be together.
My parents never had the fireworks romance you see on television, but they cared for each other and that was enough. I believed I would meet a good man, fall in love, and get married, maybe have a couple of kids.
What a joke.
It turns out the only man I ever fell in love with is already married. Before you judge me, answer me this. If every tale is made up of two sides of a coin, have you ever wondered about the villain's side of the story? People often fixate on the main characters but has anyone ever thought about what the villains went through? What made them who they are and why they did what they did?
If your answer is no, then you should start thinking about it. I'm not here to defend my actions. I just want people to know the truth. That the world isn't always black and white. Things written in grey are often missed.
