Chapter 11

Moonlight poured into the room while Susan cuddled her kids jealously to herself. The lights were off, although Judy, as usual of the twins, wished she could sleep with the lights turned on. All that playing and activity all through the day, now the kids were tired. They clung on to both sides of their mother, holding her as if she was going to make an escape if they dared let her free.

The days activities flashed across Susan's mind. She had to go back to her family house again. She needed those clothes.

"I will go there when dad is around" she muttered while she thought of the possibility. Hopefully, her dad being around will make a difference to her, if not, she might do something that no one would expect, not even herself. She shook her head at the thought of her stepsister and her stepmother. The joy Joey felt from humiliating her still made Susan wonder why she was so mean, to what end? and what did Joey ever hope to achieve? she obviously had no idea.
