Tormenting Waiting Game

Catherine was sitting on the wooden chair in the veranda, the gentle breeze of the wind was pleasant and heavenly, she placed her hands on her baby bump, and she's been five months pregnant and also five months in captivity. Time flies too fast. If she let despair and desolation consumed her consciousness she already died of depression and sadness. But if there's one thing that gives her strength and the will to survive it's no other than her unborn child in her womb. The baby infused her determination to keep on living and hoping for a miracle rescue amidst the stark uncertainty hanging in the air around her.
Her gaze traveled from the backyard to the inside of the house.
This place has become a new normal for her.

Dana put the slice of ripe mangoes in front of Catherine in the veranda. "Here's your favorite fruit, preggy lady!" she said fondly.
