"Status?" Ivy Aretha was surprised by these two familiar yet alien words. "Don't you have status in our family now?"
This little one had always been the supreme authority of their household. Since when was it relevant to discuss her status?
"Baby, are you worried that Daddy's entry into this family will steal the affection your mommy has for you?"
Michael Gordon studied the little one's face intently for a while before he could think about this possibility. "Daddy's marriage to mommy won't only not take away mommy's love for you, baby, but you will actually have an additional person to pamper you. Daddy and mommy will love you even more in the future, the status of our baby in this family is still the first and foremost. Now, baby, can you rest assured?"
Michael Gordon looked at her, gently and tenderly explaining in detail, hoping the little one would be at ease.
