A couple more days passed and Sarah’s grandmother was finally discharged from the hospital. She would still receive her treatment in the nursing home and she had to make visits to her doctor every once in a while for a few weeks, but the worse had definitely passed.
Sarah called a cab that afternoon and took her grandma back to the nursing home and stood there until late at night, only leaving after Nana fell asleep, with a promise to come back as soon as possible.
It had been a while since she had been at the mansion and taking care of Ben, so she couldn’t exploit Mr. Reed’s kindness anymore.
She would go back to work and visit her grandmother whenever she had some free time. Since everything was alright now, she had no more reasons to be worried.
Arriving at the mansion, Sarah noticed that most of the rooms had the lights off, which meant that everyone was probably already sleeping. There was only one place with the lights still on, the living room.
