Prologue

The majestic figure stood over the battlefield. Skulls, bones, and guts splayed everywhere, for all to see. The sky was darkened by ash, and the smell of iron and gore lingered in the air. Demon and angel bodies alike, could be found all over the battlefield. Today was the day that the War formally ended.

A jet-black crow landed on the figure's shoulder, next to the thick, white and silver beard on the old man's face. It was carrying a piece of parchment. The old man took it and started to read the message.

My dear brother, Odin. We send this message to you in hopes that you will attend the Gathering. We fear that the War has gone on for too long. Long enough for a world to be built by our bloodshed. We know not what is on this new world, but we do intend to take responsibility for it. But we need you, as you are one of the All-Fathers.

It was then that the figure, Odin, looked past the world he was on with his All-Seeing Eye, and glanced at the new world they created. He looked into its core and found blood, into its oceans and found sweat, and onto its lands and found the sparks from blade-on-blade fights. This war has gone on long enough, Odin thought reluctantly. He was the cause for this war, or so the other Gods thought. He continued reading.

We know not what your motivation for the war was, but we Celts wish to make amends. We can only hope that you come to understand our plight. We wish not for retribution for the mortally wounded Taliesin, but for peace. That is something we can all agree on. Hope to see you in three days, your brother, Lugh.

With that, he thanked his crow and started heading off to Asgard, realm of the gods.

Three days later, Odin awaits for the other gods, and they all slowly gather and sit down in the hall.

"Let us begin." Said Lugh, a fellow with long blonde hair, and a chiseled, clean face. The other gods turned their heads toward Lugh, and thus the Gathering began.
