The second legion moved broke through the snow-covered lands.
The knee-high snow kept their pace slower than they liked but Commander Berix was quick to come up with a strategy, and the best of strategies were the simplest of strategies.
One file of soldiers would go ahead and scrap the snow to the side, as soon as they were done they would head to the back of the formation while the second file of soldiers would perform a scrap before heading to the back giving room for the third file of soldiers to have a turn.
Until the first file returned to the front, and so the cycle repeated itself, a simple strategy to keep the soldiers active while not exhausting their stamina before the battle.
Commander Berix was clad in armour as he rode his stead while protected by a circle of shield bearers and Sir Duncan who rode by his side.
