This space-based institute, supported by over fifty nations and located outside of Earth, was the epicenter of revolutionary research on dark matter, led by the brilliant mathematician and physicist William Growing. His theories promised to usher in the era of interstellar travel through dark matter reactors, capable of creating warp drive systems and allowing long-distance travel in an incredibly short time.
Dark matter, a highly volatile and exceedingly rare resource, was the key to this new frontier. Despite undisclosed risks, the promise of space expansion united governments in an unprecedented effort, driving technological and aerospace advancements. However, in a fateful experiment, something went terribly wrong. The explosion not only obliterated the Institute but also ruptured a protective layer around the Solar System, created by solar energy over millions of years.
This event triggered a series of catastrophes and marked the beginning of humanity's near extinction. From the depths of space, the Stellar Beasts emerged—colossal and unknown creatures bringing destruction and chaos.
