The Dream Continues (II)

A hearty laughter was heard, as Pravakh laughed at the young boy's duplicity, "But before I teach you the ways of energy manipulation, we must train you in martial arts, as your physical form determines how much power you can continue within yourself."

"We?" The young boy tilts his head in confusion. Just before the young boy could fathom what was just said, the old man continued, "Oh, and please call me guru, not teacher. I prefer it in my native language." With this, he stops levitating, and starts packing up. "Come on now, follow me."

...The young boy, now a teenager, is seen walking across a school hallway, chewing through an apple and holding books on his hand. Boys the same age as him are seen greeting him, awe visible in their eyes, his chiseled looks creating a sense of envy and jealousy in their eyes.

"Edward, are you coming to the biology laboratory after school? I heard that they have managed to procure a mysterious specimen there, and it does look like a mermaid." A short, pudgy boy, panting slightly, jogged to Edward's side, holding a notice in his hands. Edward turns hisnhead to him, and comments, "No can do. I have more important things to do?" "Like what? All you do is just go to the garden after lessons end, and do those wacky actions. I mean, what does it do exactly?" At this point, the pudgy boy just gestures wildly, clearly fed up at this point with Edward's actions.

"Foyle, you know these actions are not meaningless. They help me get stronger, fitter, and for the ladies, sexier." A small chuckle is heard at the end of the sentence, indicating his lack of concern about the issue. Without stopping a beat, he steps into the garden, and goes to his secluded corner.

There, he starts his usual activity after warming up: the martial arts his guru had taught him, combined the various arts around the world, from East to West, from boxing to Tai-Chi, and even forgotten arts such as Pankration. Just as he was about to finish, he felt a jolt of Chi coming from the laboratory, the laboratory where they said they were going to dissect a mermaid. He packed up, and started walking to it.

But just before he left, he turned his head, and stared towards you.

Thud!

A body is heard falling into the floor, arms and legs sprawled in a haphazard manner. Jake jolts up in fear, arms in position to do a karate chop. A few minutes later, after clarity returns to his eyes, he slowly lowers his arms down, and sits on his bed.

W-what was that, sweat pours down his forehead, as he realises what he dreamt of this time cannot be dismissed of as a mere coincidence. The weird chandelier, the bizarre buildings, they seem to indicate that they do, or did exist. Yet despite all of this, he had never heard of, or seen any of this in the ancient scrolls at the library archives. Ruminating at the dream, he ponders what they mean, and why do they keep appearing.

Just as he was deep in thought, a small thud woke him up from it. Small pebbles are constantly being thrown at the window, and when he went over to check who was doing it, he stopped in his tracks, and started to change into his sports gear.

Old man Edward had come to pick him up for his daily training.
