Druis picks up a stick from nearby, and starts drawing a battle formation on the ground, albeit a crude one. "Right, here's what we know: the beast, having fused with Felborn, is currently going on a rampage due to loss of rationality. This makes our fight much more easier, as we can goad him to our direction and needs."
He pointed tbe stick at Grud, commanding him "Grud, I know that you have managed to advance to the the first pool of the mage sequence, and that you have already picked up a spell to use, filling up one of your two spell slots in the process. You must use it to attack the tree abomination, while I will come from the side to land fatal blows. Biba, you will do the same taks as your brother, which is in this case acting as the bait and distraction against the abomination. We don't have much time to create alternate strategies, so this is a do or die moment."
At this moment, Jake sat beside Grud, bewildered, yet forcing himself to focus on the situation. At this point, he raises his hand, quickly asking Druis "What about me, I can help too." Looking at Jake's expectant expression, Druis shakes his head, "You're still new to the mystical world. Tell me, how many foes have you defeated? How many scars have you earned? How many friends have you buried?"
Listening to the barrage, Jake felt embarrassed, tucking his head down. Grud, feeling that Druis was looking down at Jake, protested "But unc-" Druis sharply turned his head, glaring "Call me commander." Shutting up, he crawled back, disappointed.
However, Druis managed to surprise him.
Pinching the corners of his eyes, he finally seemed compromise. After deliberating for a short while, he sighed, before coming to a decision. He called to Jake, and told him "Go with Grud. Help him as much as you an. But be careful, this creature is now currently at stage 3/4, much too powerful for any of us. I do not want to carry back another corpse home." With this, a lonely tear fell from the corner of his eyes. They all fell silent at this. knowing there was a story here, but neither wanting to inquire about it.
Just then, another howl was heard. Biba, knowing what it meant, jumped up "Beba!" Druis, knowing that things were goin south, quickly commanded everyone "Start the plan, now!" With this, they went to war.
As they got to the battlefield, they saw Beba, missing a third of his tail, an eye, and half of his fangs. Biba, horrified by the condtion of his brother, gasped. "Beba, ho-" "Don't just stand there, help me!" Panting, Beba sidestepped back, before Biba jumped into the foray, hands turning pae blue, causing the ground underneath the beast to turn into mud, dragging the mindless beast down. He leapt onto its head, where its eyes cannot see him. Biba conjured water elements into his hands, vibrating them at high speed, creating a pseudo blade of sorts, before plunging his hand into the beasts head, cutting off what is seen to be its branches.
Roaring in pain, it fell down into the ground, where it started struggling with its many yet miniscule stumps, attempting to rise up from the ground.
Just then, grease seemed to fly through the air, spreading across both the ground and the creature. As the creature attempted to get up despite the loss in friction, a burning, red blade flew across the sky.
