Nigel

I wasn't just going to let her die, not like this anyway, she closed her eyes and that was understandable since she was losing massive amounts of blood. She was shot in the near her appendix hopefully no vital organs were damaged but there's no guarantee, i pick her up and meet the medics halfway down the ail they take her onto the stretcher and strap her in.

Medic: sir only family can be in the ambulance

Nigel: I'm legally obligated to protect im not leaving her side

Medic: well can you at latest give her the basic run down

Nigel: 5, 6. Mixed female, no preexisting health conditions

Medic: that's all well need for now

They take her into the ambulance and start to try and remove the bullet, the amount of blood not coming from her appendix was gruesome. If they left the bullet in until they reached the hospital she would shortly die so they had to do it now, they began to try and get the bullet out.

5 hours passed before emmy was out of surgery camera crews and press were lined up outside the hospital even though it was on lock down, i sat and waited for her to awake. I needed a plan even though it seemed safe and i failed to protect her things aren't over yet, i've experienced a few hit men before and have learned one thing, they get paid up front but honor their deals either their target is in the ground or is on their way.

Emmy: wa- WHAT HAPPENED

She started to freak out like she was being attacked. Her heart monitor was all over the place. I began to try and calm her down but nothing seemed to work until I grabbed her hand and she looked at me.

Nyogel: emmy its okay please calm down you in the hospital and you'll be fine

She looked at me with her big brown eyes, she calmed down instantly but the moment was shortly lived when her sister, son, and manager robert came running in.

Robert: you were supposed to protect her

Nigel: I know and from now on I'm on high alert, I already have a plan. I just have to clear something first.

Luther: Us my mother going to be okay?

Nigel: u-

Emmy: yeah luther i wouldn't leave you behind like that, i'm sorry if i scared you any

She was so quiet when she interacted with her son, what am i saying she is a client not a love interest in some unlikely lovers story.

Emily: So how do you feel?

Emmy: better than i felt before i got shot

Emily: That's good, so when are they gonna let you outta here?

Emmy: i don't know

Robert: They're going to try and push her out of here as soon as possible with the crowds she's gathered outside, you know I've been thinking this could really spark some new interest in the media you know. Imagine the headlines Famous actress, and singer emmy marin shit at the the annual Berrington award ceremony.

Nigel: No we will not speak or give the media anything more than they already have, by doing that it will only give the media more of a reason to try and get a word from her or a picture and we can't allow it.

Robert: But the money

Nigel: Look, I dont give a shit about the money I care about protecting her. I dont get why she chooses to ignore your blatant bullshit and obsession over money. You are using this woman for yourself not helping her and no wonder she ended up like this.

Robert: Well you were suppose to protect her

Nigel: AND I DID TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY, at least i try to do my job you send her all over the place trying to get the paparazzi attention and never think to stop and wonder how she feels, she could be crumbled over on the floor bleeding and all you'll do is plan her next venue.

Robert: Look i think you should leave

I look around at everyone to see their shocked faces

Nigel: I do to it appears I've overstepped my position

I leave the room at out of the hospital, i go to sit in the car and make a phone call as the paparazzi gather around taking photos

Father: whats up nigel

Emmy pov

He left the room after he caught the glimpse of my face. I feel nervous that someone could have seen it until Roberts came back at the idea of selling this to the media.

Robert: Okay hear me out we allow different news s-

Emmy: No, robert i was shot basically my whole life is in the media and i want to at least keep the part when i almost die to myself they got a glimpse so let them have it give them no more, i just want to have a normal life without all the cameras for once and this is my chance. Whatever decision nigel makes for the next steps are final

Robert: but the publicity

Emmy: I said that final

He stood there in shock and just left the room i look over to emily and luther and they have huge grins across thor face

Emily: Your a boss bitch

Emmy: No it's true i just need him to stop pushing me around i really do want to take a step back from the media just for once

Luther: roberts an ass hole

Emmy: Luther!, shhhh dont say it so loud

9 months later emmys been out of the spotlight after leaving the hospital, nigel moved emmy,luther, and emily into his fathers summer home they've been there for 3 weeks so far, they were going to stay for a while until things blew over and they found the person trying to kill emmy. The weeks were spent talking about past things that emmy, emily, and nigel did when they were younger , they all seemed so much like family and all was peaceful until luther wanted to take a boat ride with nigel.
