"You are back," Roman said turning to her from the book he was reading, smiling brightly at her as Lillian stared at him blankly.
If you knew about my past and all the things I had to do to survive ... will you still look at me like that?
"Fairy godmother?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her, concerned. "Did it not go well?"
"Oh it did," Lillian said, forcing a smile on her face instantly. "Sorry, I must have fallen asleep before I opened my eyes so I am still a little groggy from sleep."
"Do you still need to rest? I could keep an eye out."
"No need," Lillian said, jumping off the bed as she stretched her body out. "I am feeling better now."
"What did the Old Sage say?" he asked, putting the book down and giving her his full attention.
"Well, first." She looked at her dress and did a twirl as the dirt and dust seemed to jump off it. It looked almost brand new now. "There we go."
