'Mana Archive Community? The fuck… Hah…!! I shouldn't be surprised any longer. I just hope that the App doesn't track my shit…' Daichi dismissed the notification and tapped on the App icon.

'Just like any other typical Community App' Daichi mused inside his mind. He started to wonder if he should put his real name as the Username or go with a nickname… After thinking for a minute, Daichi decided to enter a nickname. In a world like this, Daichi was sure that he was going to make a lot of enemies and it would be useful if he maintain anonymity.

Daichi never had 8th Grade Syndrome so he didn't have any nicknames to call himself inside his mind. So now, Daichi needed to decide on a nickname. 'Black Summoner would have been a good nickname but would be too stupid of me… I would be giving away my Skill…' Daichi started to rub his chin with a thoughtful look on his face. He needed a nickname that wouldn't have any sort of hint or connection with his Skill.

"What happened?" Saeko asked from the side, bringing Daichi out of his musings.

"…After scanning the QR code an App called the Mana Community App was installed on my phone and just like any other typical Community App, it is asking me to set up a nickname" Daichi sighed. Saeko wasn't familiar with Community Apps since she still used a flip phone, but Yuriko was quite familiar with what a Community App was.

"So, what's in the App?" Yuriko asked with a hint of eagerness. Daichi noticed that Yuriko didn't look sick anymore, so he couldn't stop himself from releasing a sigh. It seems that she was simply tired, but Daichi didn't feel bad for suspecting her and keeping an eye on her. You could never be too much careful and Yuriko was quite nice looking even though she was slightly older than his own mom.

"It is asking me for a nickname…" Daichi trailed off and that was enough for Yuriko to understand what the problem was. Since she was familiar with the Community Apps, she also knew how tedious it was to choose a nickname. Most of the time, she simply entered her real name, but on some sites, she needed to use a nickname for anonymity.

Even though Daichi didn't want to advertise his name or Skills, he still wanted to have an impactful nickname… It might seem childish, but people were going to recognize him by his nickname, so he needed a name people could trust. He needed people to flock behind his name. There was a reason he was thinking so hard for a simple nickname. Usually, nicknames or Usernames could be changed at a later date, but he had no idea if that would be possible with the Mana Archive Community App or not…

After wracking his brain for a few moments, he finally decided on a nickname. He decided to go with the nickname 'General Neo'. Yes, he knew that it was kind of egotistic to call himself a General, but he could very well become a General in the future. Not that anybody had the right to complain or anything, after all, he was simply picking a nickname.

Even though his choice might seem random, it wasn't random in the least. Daichi had decided to go with the nickname after thinking for quite some time. No matter what the others said or hoped, Daichi knew for sure that their world wasn't going back to its previous state. This was a new world, and he wanted to take the lead in this world. New also translated into Neo, and that is why he decided to pick the name, General Neo.

So, without wasting any more time, Daichi entered his nickname and tapped the enter button. Moments later, the main page of the Mana Community App finally appeared on his mobile's screen…

There were only six options on the main screen of the App, so Daichi decided to click on the [Notice Board]. As expected the [Notce Board] was empty. Daichi was kind of sure that he wasn't the first one to download the Community App, so he wondered why nobody had posted anything on the [Notice Board]. With the current situation in the world, he was sure that people would be trying to reach out to the others.

Since the [Notice Board] was empty, Daichi decided to post something himself and that is when he realized what the problem was. As soon as he tapped on the blank space so that he could start writing, a small notification popped up on the screen.

[You don't have enough Units to create a thread]

For a moment, Daichi gaped, he started to wonder if the Mana Archive Community App was like one of those paid chatting and dating Apps. 'Units must be the currency used by the Mana Archive Community App' Daichi thought as he returned to the main page of the Community App. The second option, [Dungeons] was faded, so he guessed that the option was still inactive and he was right. When he tapped on the [Dungeons] option, nothing happened.

The third option, [Server Rankings] was also faded, which meant that the third option was also inactive. So, Daichi finally clicked on the fourth option [Live Stream]. As soon as he tapped on the fourth option, a prompt appeared on the screen asking him if he wanted to create a Streaming Channel. Of course, creating a Streaming Channel wasn't free, but this time he seemed to have enough credits to create a channel.

[Do you want to create a Streaming Channel? 100 Units will be deducted from your Account]

[YES/NO]

For now, Daichi decided to click on [NO]. He had no idea how many Units he had in his account and he didn't want to blow them away without knowing anything about how to earn them. So, Daichi clicked on the fifth option, [Streaming Channels]. The name was kind of self-explanatory, but Daichi wanted to know if someone had streamed anything or not. Daichi found that there were already a lot of Channels, but none of them had streamed anything.

So, after returning to the main screen of the App, Daichi tapped on the sixth option, [Pawn Shop]. Once again, the option was kind of self-explanatory, but Daichi still wanted to check out the option…

[You can sell any dropped items to Mana Archive in exchange for Units. Just hold the item over your mobile screen and the Mana Archive will give you a price for the item. There will be no bargaining]

The words appeared on the screen as soon as Daichi tapped on the sixth option. Daichi immediately decided to test it out, so he pulled out his knife and held it over the screen. Moments later, a notification popped up on the screen…

[Do you want to sell our Common Knife for 20 Units?]

[YES/NO]

Once again, Daichi decided to tap [NO]. First of all, Daichi didn't have any other weapons besides the knife, so he couldn't sell it and he was kind of sure that he was making a loss in the deal. He already knew all of that, but he still wanted to see how the option worked and that is why he had decided to check out the option. Daichi returned to the main page of the App and he finally noticed a bell icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Daichi was sure that the icon wasn't there before he had clicked on the sixth option. There was another new icon just beside the bell icon, the second icon looked like a wallet. 'That must be my account' Daichi concluded, but before checking out his account, he decided to tap on the bell icon. A bell icon was usually used for notifications, so it must be the notification section of the Mana Community App and there was a red dot on top of the bell icon, signifying that he had new notifications.

Daichi was right, he did have three new notifications waiting for him in the notification App…

'Hmm… That is a lot to take in… I only had 100 Units in my account, I think it was a good thing that I decided to wait and not blow them in one go by creating a Channel. Top 10 Rankers… looks like I need to stop lazing around…' Daichi mused with a grin on his face…
