Li Jun wiped the sweat from his brow. His first attempt failed, but he succeeded on the second. He had made a soul-cleansing pill, but its quality was questionable. He used the last of the materials to refine a second pill, and finally, it came out well. It was completely white with a faint blue shimmer of energy surrounding it.
He placed the two pills into a jade bottle to preserve the medicinal energy and then lay back to relax.
In an empty corner in his training room he had drawn the runes for the pill refining formation in chalk. He had a copy of the formation that he carried in his universe bag just in case he needed to reference it, but he had almost entirely memorized it.
'I was worried it would be too difficult.' He thought. He had tried to refine grade two pills before, but he never succeeded. He was surprised by how simple the recipe seemed. That was the only reason he gave it a try himself.
