"What happened?" Lloyd asked the moment he walked into the house and found Ezekiel pacing back and forth. He didn't expect their fight to be so serious. Knowing Diana, she would have let go by now although she would occasionally remind him of his mistake but not to the extent that Ezekiel would be pacing about like this.

"Let's get Pearl to a room," Ezekiel said and turned to lead the way.

Climbing up the stairs, they walked into a room and the sleeping Pearl was taken to bed. She tucked in and made comfortable before they left the room and walked over to the study.

"Can you tell me what happened between you Diana?" Lloyd asked the moment they were seated. Ezekiel looked hesitant to speak even though he was the one who had called him to come over and this left Lloyd thinking the way. "Did you hit her?"

Ezekiel was stunned by that question but then he chuckled humorlessly.
