The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The fierce argument

Christopher clutched the doorknob tightly, his hands shaking. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Jasper kissed Abigail on the top of the head while she was cuddling him.

When he looked at them, he felt as if they were in love with each other. He felt a searing pain in his chest as if a sharp object had pierced through it.

Jealousy coursed through his veins.

His face contorted with pain, and his jaw tightened. His eyes, once filled with love and affection for Abigail, now burned with anger and hurt.

He wanted to confront Abigail and Jasper and demand an explanation for their embrace. He wished he could pull him out and punch him in the face. Rage flowed through him like lava. His insides were on fire. He let go of the doorknob and took a stride towards them, only to come to a standstill when his gaze was drawn to Abigail.
