Valentino's POV
That was a significant slip-up. I had a gut feeling she had dreams about us. She wanted us to have children and live a typical married life. Maybe I was off-base.
"Are we getting close?"
"Yes! Be patient, Val."
We scaled a tree with interesting branches. Her climbing prowess was amazing. She reminded me of a salamander.
When I realized we were climbing over to the other side, I initially assumed it was some sort of tree house.
We arrived at the location. My words failed me. It went beyond the definition of beauty. A natural spring added to the attractiveness of the numerous vibrant and lovely flowers.
"I used to come here with my dad to get away from the stresses of everyday life. It served as our personal haven. Since his demise, I haven't been here, but it appears that nature has been keeping itself," she added, looking about as if recalling lovely memories.
