Chapter 28: Touch in the Dark
“Bottoms up!” Dawn shouted. Lia, Bobby, and Dawn all lifted their shot glasses and downed the contents.
Lia scrunched up her face. It was funny how watching people do shots on television or anywhere else, looked more glamorous than doing it in reality. The alcoholic concoction tasted horrible, and the feel of it hitting the back of her throat was uncomfortable.
“Woo! That is horrible!” Lia commented as the scorching liquid caused a burning sensation inside her chest. She picked up the bottle they had purchased and started reading the ingredients listed.
“Friend, what are you doing?” Bobby asked.
“Just making sure we are not drinking some poison or gasoline. This tastes like a mix of dirty feet water and sweat!” Lia shouted over the earsplitting music playing in the club.
“Dirty feet, water, and sweat mix? Are you saying that because you have actually drank such a mixture?” Bobby petitioned and burst out laughing.
