Chapter 24: Cupid’s Queue
Ryan smiled at the look of astonishment on Lia’s face. He led her to occupy the middle seats in the theater. As the movie unfolded, he realized he was not paying attention to it. Rather, he was preoccupied and subdued by the spell being cast by the woman sitting next to him.
He inhaled and could smell the vanilla scent coming from her hair. This was the very same scent he had noted when he saw her on the elevator.
Was it true that men were primal and hunted for their mates by scent? He chuckled.
“Do you want anything to eat or drink?” he inquired.
“Popcorn?” she asked.
“You can order anything you want. There are restaurants around, and I can send someone to go get us something,” he said. Again, she opened her eyes wide. Her unbelievably long eyelashes whimsically framed her eyebrows.
“You can eat restaurant food in a movie theater” Lia asked. He could not help but bellow out laughing.
