At 1 am, Bill was with Steffi on the side terrace. They were sitting comfortably on a long chair, with Steffi leaning on Bill's stomach, looking at the stars that shine brightly in the dark sky.
"After we get married, where do you want to go for our honeymoon?" Bill asked.
"I don't know, but I've always been curious about Korea and Indonesia," Steffi replied.
"If we go to Korea, maybe we'll go to Seoul, but if we go to Indonesia, maybe we'll go to Bali."
"Or to another island that offers sea tourism... I want to go diving," Steffi said, then looked up at Bill. "Do you like diving?"
"I do, but I'm kind of phobic about wide-open water... I always overthink when I'm in the ocean..." Bill said.
Steffi frowned, quickly sat up, and looked at Bill in astonishment.
"So... you're afraid of the ocean?"
Bill nodded. "I don't know why, but I always imagine that I'm enjoying the underwater scenery, then suddenly there's a predator approaching me and I'll get attacked while I can't swim fast... I'm very bad at this."
"Then let's find another type of tourist attraction," Steffi said.
"Can I be honest?" Bill asked.
"Of course."
"I don't want to go anywhere... I mean, yeah, maybe we'll honeymoon in another country, but the place that will be my favorite is a comfortable hotel or villa bedroom," said Bill, looking at Steffi's naturally beautiful face, imagining how beautiful she would be on their wedding day, imagining her beauty without wearing any clothes on their first night. "One day, the bedroom will be the most special place of anything!"
Steffi smirked while smiling, glancing at Bill. "Your mind is starting to get dirty!"
Bill chuckled, then pulled Steffi back to lie down and lean on his stomach.
"I don't mean to think dirty, but the truth is, I can't wait to become your husband," he said, then hugged Steffi's neck while looking ahead. "I imagine waking up with you right beside me... that would be so beautiful... I think that's what every man on earth wants... spending every moment with the girl they love."
"That dream will come true soon..." Steffi reached for Bill's right hand and interlaced her fingers with his.
Bill bowed and kissed Steffi's forehead.
After relaxing for a while, suddenly they realized that the stars were no longer visible, and they could hear the faint sound of thunder.
"Ugh, it looks like it's going to rain," Steffi said, getting up from Bill's lap.
Bill got up too. "I have to go home now before it rains. I hate driving in the rain," he said.
"Don't you want to spend the night here?" Steffi asked.
"No, sweetie. I have to go... There's something important on my laptop that I need to finish," Bill replied.
Steffi sighed, looking at Bill anxiously. Suddenly, she felt reluctant for her fiancé to leave now, especially since the weather was not good.
"I'm leaving now," Bill said, kissing Steffi's forehead.
Steffi just remained silent, then Bill walked towards the main door. He accompanied his fiancé by holding her hand until they reached the front terrace.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay?" Steffi asked.
"No, honey... I have to go," Bill replied calmly. "Don't worry... as soon as I get home, I'll call you. Maybe you can keep me company while I work later... through a video call," he continues.
"But I want you to stay..."
"But I really can't, Honey... understand... after we get married, we will always be together," said Bill with a pleading look, then kissed Steffi's forehead. "I'm leaving now."
"Take care... contact me soon," replied Steffi somberly.
Bill simply nodded, then quickly released Steffi's hand from his. He immediately walked towards his car parked in the yard, then got in and drove away from the Rodriguez family's area.
Steffi sighed, looking up at the darkening sky as the wind began to blow. For some reason, she felt uneasy, like something was missing, but it was hard to explain.
"Where's Bill?"
Steffi turned until her eyes found her father.
"He's gone, Dad... he said he had work to do," she said.
"Too bad, I wanted to talk to him," replied Criss, Steffi's father.
"I asked him to stay, but he insisted on leaving... so... yeah, I couldn't stop him," said Steffi resignedly, glancing towards the gate that had been closed by the security guard. She looked back at her father, who appeared ready to sleep in his grey pajamas. "I'm going to bed now," she said again.
Criss sighed, entering another room in the house, while Steffi immediately returned to her room.

Bill drove his car at an average speed while listening to music from The Weeknd's song, "Save Your Tears."
"Abbie... if you didn't marry that man if you trusted me more, maybe I wouldn't be in this situation," he said, recalling his ex-girlfriend. "I hope you're happy with him because after I marry Steffi, I can't have any hopes for you... I won't wait for you to come back... I will love Steffi..."
Bill felt anxious, and sad, remembering his unsuccessful past in love, and now he was learning to love Steffi. The man tried to slow down his car as he was on a downhill road, but for some reason, the brakes weren't working.
"Why... what happened?"
Bill suddenly panicked and kept pressing the brake pedal, but his car didn't slow down at all.
"Oh, damn it!" Bill cursed, realizing that his car's brakes weren't working. "Okay, okay... calm down!"
Bill took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, trying to reduce his car's speed by pulling the handbrake lever slowly, but it didn't work. He switched to the parking brake, but it wasn't enough to stop his car as he approached a red light.
"Oh, damn it!"
Bill started to panic, looking around, getting closer to the cars that had stopped. Eventually, he suddenly slammed the steering wheel to the left, where there was a large poster pole.
"Oh, shit!" Bill shouted.
Brakkk...
The collision was unavoidable. Bill's car crashed into the pole, instantly damaging the poster on top of it and almost causing it to fall.
Bill was gasping for breath, leaning his head on the steering wheel. He lifted his head, leaned back on the seat, and then tried to get out, but the pain and dizziness made him feel very weak, especially since his forehead kept bleeding.
He leaned his head in resignation, panting, occasionally swallowing his saliva. Trembling, he reached for the cell phone in his trouser pocket, then tried to call Steffi. But before he could get an answer, his vision slowly blurred and he finally fainted.
