Chapter 27

　　“Nothing too special but I would rather stay here than to share the master bedroom with Tessie,” Adam said when he saw Kara taking in the surroundings.

　　“You call this ‘nothing too special’?” She mumbled, coming to a halt a few steps away from the bedside.

　　“As compared to the master bedroom.” He answered, standing beside her.

　　“You were always too scared to drink. Should I give you something that will help calm your nerves?”

　　“Yes, please.” She answered almost immediately.

　　Adam nodded then went towards the bar stand area in his room. He took out two glass cups, filled them with drinks, then went over to Katherine who was already seated on the sofa not too far away from the bedside. He handed her a glass, then sat beside her.

　　“Did Ollie or Jessica say anything to you tonight?” Adam asked.

　　“I mean, how did you know that I’ve kept Calvin and Anna away from their grandparents and aunties?”
