DAY 22 CONTINUES
At last, Patrick was back at work. He could only divert his thoughts from Phina and his actions with it.
Two hours had passed since Phina left when Susan's call was heard over the intercom. With a sigh, he responded.
"You've got another visitor, sir."
He stopped himself and said, "Is it..." If it were Phina, he would have wanted to inquire. However, he would have been foolish to believe that Phina would return after what he had done. She was not that foolish.
He angrily ended the phone, saying, "Who is it? I have a lot of work to do and am not in the mood to entertain visitors. Tell the person to come back."
He furrowed his brow in frustration. He got up from his chair and took a few moments to extend his legs. Then he strolled over to the glass wall that overlooked other buildings similar to his and the bustling roadway.
