DAY 7
The following day, they attended church together. They left early in the morning to participate in the three-hour service. The quality of the service was mediocre. She was appreciative of his religiosity. He appears to be a consistent churchgoer.
He seems to demand great respect for his age, even in the church. Everyone gave him a respectful and admiring glance. He didn't even need to try hard. Sometimes, his trademark smile gets the job done. Phina is left wondering why he treats everyone else well but not her. He expressed distaste for a few individuals, but it is worse around her.
He seems unable to be around her.
**********
They left the chapel right away and proceeded to a birthday party. She found out it was the birthday celebration of Phil's older brother, and she got to meet the majority of his family. They welcomed her with open arms and were kind like him. Patrick was handled like a member of the family.
Patrick was receiving calls and messages nonstop during the party, but Phina needed to know which number they were from.
"What's not right? Why won't you pick up your phone?" At last, Phina questioned him.
At first, she didn't want to become involved, but she can't remain silent indefinitely.
"I have another place to go." He replied grudgingly.
She gave a nod. He did respond, at least. She knew the next occurrence would prevent him from leaving Phil's brother's party. He believed he owed it to himself.
Phil and his spouse approached them.
"Charles had been calling me." He addressed Patrick.
"Me too. I'd even received calls from Jake. I didn't realize Walden's wedding is today." Patrick sighed after saying that.
"They anticipate our presence," stated Phil.
"We can't leave your brother's party." To him, he said.
"You ought to leave. Here, I'll support my brother Gordon and his spouse," said Eva.
"All right. He'll get it. Inform him you're going to be leaving." Phil gives his friend advice.
"All right. But by now, the celebration ought to be done."
Phil said, "We'll meet at the after-party."
They left the celebration after bidding the family members farewell, with Phil agreeing to meet them there. After that, they returned home to take a shower and get dressed.
After getting dressed, Phina changed into a cozy, short black gown. It was one of the outfits Mrs. Anderson and the mall attendant selected for her. It had a small strap that extended to the back and formed an X on her back, just below her mid-thigh. There are a few stones strewn across it. It also includes a nicely fitting corset for her breasts. She's still perplexed about how they knew the clothing would fit her. Additionally, the long, pricey hair extension on her head complements the costume nicely. And to hide her bare arms and back, she wore a black lace jacket over it.
She had opted for a more casual outfit since it was an after-party and becoming late.
They then moved on to another location.
***********
As promised, Phil joined them later on at the after-party.
They were all seated in the noisy tiny hall where the after-party was taking place at the party. A few women were occupied in admiring Phina and Patrick.
"Your gown is beautiful." An extremely tall guy said something to a lady whose hand was entangled in his.
"Thank you." She smiled in appreciation.
Yes. You look stunning in them. Someone else stated.
"I can't seem to take my eyes off them since you walk in." Another woman stated. She was the honorary bride of the betrothed.
Phina reddened. The women who praised her clothing were mostly older than she was. She is roughly the same age as only three or four ladies.
You ought to remove that jacket. You don't have to cover up your attractive figure and clothes." Patrick looked at the guy who had said it, but he remained silent.
"I'm OK this way." She says.
"Avoid being monotonous. Or did Ricky request that you conceal your body? You have a fantastic body. As he raked his gaze over her body, someone else spoke. He was seated next to the woman with the long nails and eyelashes. However, there is still a gleam in his eyes.
"She is my mine, not yours, Melvin," Patrick glared at him.
He apologized with a grin and a slight bow.
"Your sneakers look good too. Where can I buy them?" Another woman asked, her lashes long and packed with gel. She had a very faint voice.
Phina examined her footwear. She didn't think anyone would find it appealing. It was Quinn who had chosen the shoe. At the top, it was bare. The heel in the back was shaped like a dollar sign, while the front had a small wedge.
She told them where she got it and thanked her.
"When her boyfriend is a billionaire, you should expect the best." Says one of the guys. A smirk crossed his face. He is a prince, she had heard. He was a cousin to the groom as well. Two women in skimpy attire were standing next to him.
Patrick laughed. "You are crazy, Aaron."
They all laughed after that.
They returned to the boisterous music, conversing, laughing, and singing. Joking around with his drink, Phil sat by himself. Along with the bride, he was the liveliest person in the space. Phina could see she was in high spirits. Her spouse was a reserved individual. He is a silent killer, much like Patrick.
Later on, a few girls and boys entered. For the guys, the majority of the gals were sultry side babes. Phina even heard that two of the men who are with the women are married and have kids.
A woman arrived at Phil's seat wearing a long, flared yellow gown. However, he made sure she stayed away from him. Phina respected the guy more after he ignored her. Even though he wasn't with his wife, he still values her. He behaved differently from the other boys.
A woman entered wearing a short, too-tight dress with a tiny slit on either side. She wore pricey human hair and had brown contact lenses in her eyes. She had a Barbie-like appearance due to her extensive makeup. As she walked in, everyone's attention was drawn to her. She grinned as though it was what she desired.
Listen.
She greeted a few of the men and women before approaching the bride and groom and offering them her compliments and a cheek kiss. They appear to be close as well. She then sat next to the man who had been staring at Phina earlier and was standing right across from Patrick.
They carried on conversing as they had before she entered. And they continue to eat, drink, and laugh. A few got up and started dancing.
Phina found it entertaining to observe and listen to them. But she saw that Patrick was getting bored already. He only holds a single glass of whiskey and looks forward. He doesn't say much.
"You're silent, Ricky. Boost your spirits, guy. This meeting is not for the board. One of the men makes jokes.
He did not comment; he laughed.
"You're not even making contact with your girl. Are the two of you fighting?" Someone else enquired.
"Maybe he is shy." A young woman stated. She was petting her guy with her hand.
"Maybe." Saying that, he shrugged.
"Go ahead and touch her. When you watch us like this, don't you become horny?" Phina was asked by one of the women. She kissed her partner on the lips and ran her hands up and down his thigh.
The other women chuckled.
"I can get lustful without all of that. He succeeded in getting what he wanted." Grinning, Phina said. He gave her a look but remained silent.
"Commonly, don't fool us." Another man stated. Ricky's lack of romance and boredom are well-known to us. He embarrassed and ignored women on numerous occasions. He surprised you by bringing you here. It has taken a while."
"If you get to know him, he's romantic. Despite his tendency toward shyness." Phina said, glancing at him.
Kelly, the girl who had in earlier, rolled her eyes.
"He's probably a gay trying to decieve us." She whispered.
