ON A MISSION

Fay was sitting on her bed, with her head bowed whilst she wore her heels, when she heard the sound of her door opening.

She lifted her head to see Dream standing by the door, her favorite Pet, 'snuggles' dangling from her hands.

"Why are you standing there baby? Come sit next to Mama." She patted the space beside her.

Dream gently closed the door, and moved to the spot Fay patted.

She sat, and smiled toothily as she watched Fay return to wearing her shoes.

"Are you angry, mummy?" She asked after just a few seconds of silence.

Fay paused long enough to readjust her expression, before turning to Dream.

"Not mad, just curious. I'm going in search of answers."

"About daddy?" She asked innocently.

Fay wheezed inwardly. She wasn't going to ever forget about her father, and she was beginning to come to terms with that.

"Your father is involved, yes, but this is more about your grandparents. My parents," she explained.
