Chapter 33

"What?" Leo exclaimed, taken aback by her words. 

"She is on her way; so, wait a little bit." Lawer Morgan informed, ending the call. 

Leo couldn't fathom that Javier would allow his ex-girlfriend, a woman with a child, to carry out the killing. Turning around to face Dennis, Leo remarked, "You might see your child soon." With a nonchalant gesture, he discarded the poison juice into the sink. 

Five hours later, Leo anxiously checked the time on his phone, eager to get this over with before the police arrived.

The door swung open, and Dennis's ex-girlfriend, a tall and determined woman, stepped into the room. Leo looked back and saw her. He stood up, and she removed her glasses. 

[Flashback] 

The police phone rang and was asked to give the phone to Javier. Even though Javier's phone is with him, he refrains from using it. 

He took the phone. 

"Javier, are you alright?" Claire inquired.
